If you did that, you would also get turn signals on your mirrors as a bonus and those leads can be wired into the existing fender turn signals.
Sounds simple enough, though sometimes things seem simple till you're half way through and find yourself sat there with no way to move forward. I am one who gets nervy about tearing down doors and such so this would not be happening in my garage, LOL. I just fold mine inward by hand.
Dont think u can make them both go down... Only way i can see you doing that is by setting the second memory function with the mirrors down. A buddy of mine has a 09 maxima and they both go down when he throws it in reverse, i was kinda jealousbejjutsu wrote:Related to this, does anyone know if there is a way to make both mirrors tilt down in reverse? I parallel park a lot and always forget to hit the switch.
I agree with Lars, that sort of stuff is generally available on more expensive cars.
My '04 Maxima had folding mirrors and heated steering wheel.jmichael97 wrote:another thing is the 06 maxima has power folding mirrors.. wtf made them think put it on the max but not the M...
Yeah, ditto my '06 Max.atlM35 wrote:My '04 Maxima had folding mirrors and heated steering wheel.jmichael97 wrote:another thing is the 06 maxima has power folding mirrors.. wtf made them think put it on the max but not the M...
I thought something like that would be standard on the Infiniti flagship.
yeah that sucks... infiniti kinda pizzed me off with this one!Larz wrote:I couldn't agree more JMichael. But ... if they are available on the Maxima, that may be the place to look for a mirror that might also fit an M as well as a switch that will match our dash design. I'm still fine folding mine by hand and I only do that when I use the car parks at the mall.
As for making BOTH mirrors tilt down .... There was a rather heated debate about this in an earlier thread with one member reporting both of his tilt down and that instructions are in the manual and the rest of the members saying it isn't in the manual. The member who claimed both mirrors tilted never responded to requests for proof or instructions about how he accomplished it, so seems that isn't possible on any other M aside for the one owned by that member. (yah, right)
My manual specifically states I can choose WHICH mirror tilts, no option to make BOTH tilt. My service guy at the Infiniti dealer also said it's R or L mirror, not both.
