Is it true to work on the VH? I wonder the benefits.

It's from the 4.5L V8.

Thoughts?

If the hood shuts with this manifold and it benefits in performance, might need a tune though, I might test this out.

Any thing can be done with enough money and fab work. They seem to be low in cost so get one measure, measure again then post plenty of pics.

I'd sure love to hear what benefits it offers. Looks cool though...

If I remember correctly gsracer did this with a vortec supercharger and increased torque by ~40 ft-lbs. There was a slight decrease in peak horsepower. I don't know what it would do with a NA engine, performanceVH can supply the adapters for the intake if I remember correctly.

I may have it somewhere, but there was someone from the southern hemisphere (not good to confuse aussie's and kiwi's.. :) ) that flow tested the VH stock manifold, I believe it had enough flow for about 600 HP or so, and that the heads and the manifolds are well paired together.

The primary reason the cayenne intakes are popular are for the 240sx and 300zx guys that swap VH's into them so they can close the hood without modification. I've not seen any documented evidence on an N/A application they do anything.. Comparing the VH's intake to other intake manfolds of engines that make more HP, seems really overkill just looking at it purely aesthetically..
