Another cool new product install / review article for you guys!

Mark (300ZXttZMAN), our Z32 and Frontier Moderator, recently installed a set of these on his Frontier - they plug directly in place of the stock bulbs - no rewiring, no soldering, no modding!

PlasmaGlow Igniters LED Headlight Bulb Conversion Install and Review

Oh - and they make them for TONS of different vehicles! :dblthumb:

What do you think?

looks like the new bulbs have a little bit different dispersion pattern and need to be adjusted down slightly. However, that is a great install and definite improvement. LED's just make sense for a car. and I can see them taking over in a few years.

CREE is a great company and they make great, cutting-edge products.

This is a tempting upgrade for the LS8. The stock halogens are pathetic. Leave it to Ford to cheap out on the stuff that matters.

I just bought a set (high and high/low) for the S14 and new headlights and another set for the Mazdaspeed Protege. At this rate, I won't have any filament bulbs left in the S14, LOL!

Seems like the light spreads too much to the left.

Got any pics of the left stockers?

No chance. Left turns at night are already hindered by A-pillar. As long as it's not kicked up at oncoming traffic, having some "side flood" is great.

I've been meaning to update this thread with my experiences.

I've never gotten the S14 bulbs installed but I put the bulbs in the Mazdaspeed Protégé along with new housings right away. I tried just the new housings and some new halogen bulbs and it helped, but the nighttime visibility was still pretty poor. Then I put the LED's in and it was a big improvement. The car is much safer to drive at night now, the beam pattern is as good as stock, but it's still not great. That's nothing to do with the bulbs though and more a function of the housings.

I did have one fail within the warranty period and Plasmaglow sent out a replacement with out any drama. I had to fill out a simple form and give them a copy of my receipt.

I think I may put a set in the Frontier and the Miata - Both have aftermarket housings, and those typically come with really lame bulbs.
