So I'm an idiot, when I was intalling my intake, I got a little too rough with the nylon fitting that screws into the intake tube to connects the hose from the engine to the intake and I ripped it a little bit, so I need a new one. My question is does anyone know a place where I can buy a specific K&N Part? Or something similar?

Its Part # 08911 - vent: strt, 5/8 barbed 1/4 npt, nylon

http://www.knfilters.com/instructions/69-7061_inst.pdf

Its part "J" on the instructions that I'm talking about.

Thanks

Have you tried contacting K&N themselves?

Does it still function properly? Meaning connect the intake to the tube securely? If so I wouldnt worry about it.

If I remember correctly from installing mine that was a pretty heavy duty piece of plastic, how and where did it rip?

I realized that the item is called a "barbed fitting" so it was easy to find a similar part from various vendors.

But the way i broke it is I was using a racheting wrench and I just kept racheting and i soon realized that I was tearing the nylon Oh well.

Ummmm Im pretty sure you arent supposed to even "screw" it in. You should just push it in, no turning involved. Its barbed like a bee stinger so that once its pushed in it doesnt come out.

I broke it when I was screwing the barbed fitting into the intake tube, not when I was putting the actual hose onto the fitting.

Mine broke too, and you do screw it because it's threaded not a push. I sent k&n an email and they send me a new one via UPS. Took a few days to get a reply though.

Oops...I thought it was push on both sides. I must have just hand turned it then.

I just installed my K&N the other day, I really like it. But I was affraid of the same thing as I was wrenching away at it with a pair of channel locks. It didnt seem like the plastic threats were aligning right with the thread pattern on the tube, but I was lucky and didnt break it but the channies did leave some teeth marks in the plastic.. Seemed a little jenky but it worked. Maybe an end wrench would have been a better choice but I didnt have one that size. Just gotta be super careful i guess.
