More pics and details in the link. Kinda looks Hyundai-ish to me. Still tons better than the current version.

NISSAN. IF YOU ARE READING THIS: LISTEN UP.

OFFER A MANUAL VERSION OR THIS WILL BE A COMPLETE FAILURE

Idk. I think I like the current gen Sentra better. This new version looks a bit too "mom" car-ish to me. Looks a lot like the Altima. The Sentra's the closest thing we have to a sport compact from Nissan right now, and I think it should reflect more of the sport aspect than anything else.

Based on the body and interior alone, it may be a strong competitor to the Cruze and Focus. Nissan has been quiet in this segment.

Agree, Maxima looks horrid, heavy, and slow. This new Sentra looks tall and more like the new Altima. I'm going to have to see these in person for more of an objective view point. 2 things I don't like by seeing the pics, tail lights bulge out and the dash gauges have been split. Put the speedometer in the middle w/the tach being digital, except for the Z and other true sports cars, then the tach goes in the center with a digital speedometer.

Very Sylphy-ish.

Incidentally, the Sylphy and the Sentra are identical. Then again, the Sentra has always (to my knowledge) been identical to its "other-market" versions.

This is me holding out for a Spec V version.

I'm somewhat concerned that Infiniti's trademark swooping bodylines a-la-M37s are trickling down into Nissan's main design theme. Design themes are ok, but it seems that Nissan is blurring the lines between their luxury flagships and their economy cars. This is not a good idea, IMHO.

I like it, still need to see it in person. I wont trade my B16 in on one, gonna keep it. I would entertain purchasing one after it has a couple years to work out the bugs. First run cars usually improve over a lot the first couple of years.

We have a neighbor who picked up a new Versa and it looks much better in person than any pics I've seen. They seem pleased with it and said it was better than they expected.
