Awesome work! Thanks for posting your photos.

If you don't mind sharing, where did you get the fabulous mat for the back to cover the folded down third row seats?

Thank you

It's a product of Weathertech. They don't make one for our new Q yet, but I worked with a lady there and gave her aproximate dimensions. She sent me the engineering drawings of several differnt cars they had that were close. This ended up actually being the mat for the Buick Enclave (sp?). It fits perfect and will get me by for now until they come out with one for our new Q !!!

If you want/need the specific part number, let me know and I'll look up my receipt.

Thank you for the information. I thought it looked like a Weathertech. They make great products. I'll order the Enclave version also until the new QX version comes out.

I have the same exterior and interior colors that you have. The car is incredible. I am envious of your modifications. You did a fabulous job! I am sure you are enjoying it!

Thanks again!

Looks awesome.

Would you mind tell me where you purchased you LED's (interior and license plate) and Fog bulbs/turn lamps (above the main headlight lens? ALso, What size bulbs were they? I can't find the model numbers anywhere? I can't stand the yellow tint of filament bulbs anymore!

So how did you manage to replace the license plate bulbs? Are they plug and play or are transistors needed? Howd you know what led size the small lights above the head lamp?

I had to open the hatch, undo all the pop-screws and fold back the inner lining...then reach up in there and change out the bulbs...I was a REAL pain in the A** !!!

You can order those from any Infiniti dealer or an Infiniti dealer online.

GREAT job on the lighting!! One of the most affordable ways to give your vehicle that "modified" fresh look!! :dblthumb: I had the similar wheels on my car...check my pics out on the M forum if you like...
I'm thinking about coming this way from my '08 M45 Sport to an '08 Qx56. The new '11 is amazing but out of my range $$ Few years ago in '08 had the opportunity to buy an '06 and didn't do it, got an '07 M35....then last year in '10 again passed up an '08 Qx56 for my current '08 M45S. Space has become an issue with my growing family even though we have a Toyota Sienna I am again looking into the Qx56!! What can you say are the pros and cons about the Qx?? Fuel/mileage not an issue to me either.... :gotme

If fuel milage isn't an issue...then you should have no problem ;-)

I went from an 08 M35 Sport (FX35 before that and G35 6MT before that) and I LOVE this thing. It drives like a car ! (I have the upgraded hydraulic suspension though FYI). I found a shop up in Anaheim that was going to put the lowering springs on for me but they couldn't touch the hydraulic system. So a piece of advice, if you're planning on putting on sport springs...DO NOT get the highest end version with the hydraulic suspension. I hear the "stock" suspension though drives like the 04-10' models which I did NOT like what so ever.

Other than that...this thing is really amazing...and the power...is unreal. It's a beast...a luxurious beast...can't really put it any other way !

Hoshtaylor or anyone else who knows:

First off those mods look great.

I'd been looking for some type of Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) for my '11 QX56 since the day I got it and always thought that the "front sidemarkers" (as they are called on the http://www.superbrightleds.com website) or -what I think you are calling the "LED Clearance Bulbs" would be perfect.

So here are my questions:

1) What exact model of light did you use for the sidemarkers/clearance bulbs (or just link us to the right one on the website)

2) How did you install these (are there multiple lights that makeup the sidemarker)? The light looks very difficult to access. Can you provide instructions? (How long did it take?)

3) Does anyone know a way that you could wire the car to use the sidemarkers as DRLs? I suppose you could always remember to flick on the switch, but then you chance leaving them on by mistake, and doing anything manually on the QX just would seem so pedestrian :)

Thanks for any and all replies!! Happy holidays!
