Just wondering if anyone knows where the PVC valve is located in the 2000 QX4. I can't seem to find this. I bought a new one to replace but can't seem to find the location.

Anyone got any ideas??

Well if its anything like the 2000 3.3L Pathfinder (which I can't guarentee it is, but its worth checking), there are two hoses coming out the engine block on the right side (driver's side) Pull the hose out thats closer to the windsheild (if it helps the area is called the upper intake manifold) Its threaded in that hole where the hose attaches.

I'm doing this tomorrow, i'll take and post pics. Hopefully it'll help.

Thanks, i'll take a look to see if I find it as you've described but some pics would be good.

As requested...

Here is the engine compartment in full. We will be working in the area between the brake fluid resevoir (big round yellow cap) and the engine block (big silver thing in the middle)

Here is a close up on that area. Notice the four hoses in the center with the silver clips? The PCV valve is located inside the on the bottom right

Here is a picture with the hose removed. You can see the PCV slightly.

Close up picture of the PCV. It is quite a tight squeeze to get a ratchet in here so I removed the two hoses above it to make a little more room.

And last but not least - here is the PCV removed and the hole in which it threads into. Shake the valve and listen for a rattle. If it doesn't rattle - replace it!

Hope this helps!

What hose is that underneath the air relief valve? It popped off and fell on my header and burned up and I have no idea what hose it is and where it goes. Any ideas?
