P0403 code fix?

2004 Nissan Quest

Code reader says: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control Circuit.


Can anyone tell me exactly where the EGR Solenoid is located? I want to check and clean the connection. What other spots should I check?

We have the Factory Service Manual right here on Nico, I recommend you download all the files onto a folder.

I believe the EGR is located somewhere near the throttle body.

Thanks. Yep I see it. Question is....do I take a chance and replace the EGR or is there some other part (solenoid?) that could be the cause?

UPDATE:
Not only was it my EGR valve but it was the PCM that was responsible. $1500, a new EGR and PCM and a week and a half later....all while leaving my wife and kid waiting in Tucson, AZ while I had to return back to Utah to work. UGH.
