Item Description:
I am regretfully selling my 1990 Toyota Celica Alltrac. This car is #154 of about 2500 made of this special edition Celica. It is an all wheel drive ( AWD ) Turbocharged car. It was built to compete in the world Rally championship (WRC) of the early 90's, which it won 3 times I believe. These are very hard to find, and are a blast to drive. I had high hopes and dreams for it, but just can't afford it right now, and need the money to finish my other project as well as pay off a few bills. I have gotten more compliments and "thumbs up" in this car than any other car I've owned. It's just a cool car.
Anyways, it has a 2.0 Liter turbo 4 cylinder (same 3SGTE that eventually made it in the MR2 Turbo) which is very stout and runs great, even with 215k miles on it. Compression is great and it does not smoke at all. Everyone knows the quality cars Toyota built in the 90s. It does leak a little oil, but only about 1/2 quart at most every 3k miles. I think it's the oil pan gasket. The AWD transmission is a 5 speed gearbox with a limited slip center differential (also a rear LSD). It has a very slight grind in 5th gear only, but does not hinder drivability at all. Clutch doesn't slip and drives great. The car has seen full synthetic oil its entire life! I am the second owner, and I have a mountain of paperwork going all the way back to the day it was bought! This car was taken care of very well by not only myself, but by the original owner as well. I bought the car in complete OEM condition, so I still have every OEM part removed in place of an aftermarket piece. These parts will all be included with the car.
Modifications the car has:
HKS Silent Hi-Power 3" Cat-back Exhaust
Berk Technologies 3" Downpipe (same as MR2)
Trackforged 3" Midpipe with interchangeable High Flow Cat and Test Pipe
NGK Iridium Plugs
NGK Performance Plug Wires
HKS High Pressure Radiator Cap (stock ones are too low)
JSpeed Rear Diff Poly Mount
Whiteline Rear Sway Bar and Bushings
Autometer ES Manual Boost Gauge
Alpine 4 channel amp with 2 sets of MB Quart component speakers (Front and Rear)
Alpine CD/MP3 player
As you can see in the pictures the car needs paint and a small amount of body work to be perfect looking. Front passenger side fender/front bumper have a little damage as seen, but I will be including a straight fender (black) as a replacement, and the bumper can just be repainted. Only other body issue is the driver side rear quarter panel has a shallow but noticeable dent from a parking lot scuff with an SUV. It shouldn't be too hard to get the small flaws fixed and the car painted to look new again. There is no rust on the car, which is pretty hard to come by these days!
I still have all the original leather seats, but I was in the middle of replacing the seats over to cloth versions, because the driver side leather seat is pretty bad. The rear leather seats are in great shape, but the two fronts have seen better days. The cloth seats are great, but the passenger side does not fit (the rails are from a GT-S Celica, which is slightly different), and I haven't gotten around to switching the seat cover itself over the alltrac passenger seat. The Automatic Climate control works great, but the A/C does need to be recharged. Had it charged a couple summers ago, and it only lasted a few months, because the seals leak. When it worked, it blew super cold! Cruise control does not work, not sure why.
The car has a clean title, and I have included all the info about the car I can think of because I don't want there to be any surprises at all. It just wastes time. I am asking $4500 for the car with everything on it including all the extra parts I have. I hope to sell it to someone who can appreciate the car for what it is, and take great care of it. I have seen other Alltracs go for a lot more over the years, but I know the body needs a little work, so I have adjusted the price accordingly. I will entertain a trade for a 95 Nissan S14 240SX 5 Speed. I already have an S13 240 SX, so please no trades for those.
