the rear shocks??? If so you might have blown em cause the springs didn't do their jobs.

I hear really bad things about those 'ebay' sleeves. I know there was a review in one of the threads from a guy that bought his 240 with these on. I wouldn't trust them with my life.

That would be your shock fluid leaking out because your seals failed.

Another Ebay FTL story.. Sad you did this to Tokico's.

Take those things off and replace them with either real springs or OEM. Replace your rear shocks too..

Don't cut the springs, they are not designed to work at those heights and strain. If you need a 2" drop then buy springs that are just that. Cutting the springs will result in problems later and can possibly ruin your suspension parts.

My friend bought his 240 with cut springs and after driving on them like that the springs actually snapped off and ruined the strut.

You put on a junk spring with unknown spring rate, way too low for a stock shock, so it probably blew out the shocks. You need at least a quality shock that can handle high spring rates and lowered travel. But if you go that far, get real springs.

in order to bring back a dead thread.... i got a set of those egay sleeve type coilovers, the ones for forty bucks, even after weeks and weeks of searching online and forums telling me not to get them i still got them and they are horrible and didnt fit the front right they actually raised the front end so anyone saying you get what you pay for is right. having actual personal experience i can tell you that they are not worth it.!

you change only springs, and car bounces, on stock shocks? I thought there's no rocket science in a spring...

yea no rocket science but when you expect a set of 40 shipped coilovers to help your cars handling your not a rocket scientist, your someone who cares more about what the car looks like instead of how it performs

Don't see why simple springs must cost much Anyway I care very little about visual tuning. Problem is, I want to find smth. for the front that would perform on the drag strip, and allow me to drop the front back for daily driving, but usually coilovers have very stiff springs. Anyone knows where to look?

owe ...ohh god make it stop! enough now my side is gona split wide open!

now that im done with my obsessive laghter...to the meat!

if you buy cheep eaby sleeves..your a friggin fool!...would you trust your life to a made in china parachute..rated for 30 ft.!..what the hell is wrong with ya!...with that said....bro..take the time and save for coilovers if thats your dream...but to be truthfull...lots of folks slam there rides..and have no clue how a suspention works...it works by travell...if your so low on a average car with a curb wieght of about 2400lbs...the shock/spring will not be able to travell far enough to help you in cornering/braking/excellerating...its a transition of wieght in a car that makes up the suspention dynamics....in race cars...the dynamic is set for a certain style of racing..on the street..its a different story...keep it stock hight..but just upgrade to a sport shock for now..you will feel the difference..good luck.
