New here.....can anyone tell me if the following is actually an OEM navi?

Image

I just picked it up from a classified, installed it just fine but I need to get the reverse camera and sirius/xm cable, both of which I have no clue where to get. The Nissan part number is supposedly 25915ZT51ERX, I may just have to call the dealership.

Anyone's input would be great.

Do you have Sirius/XM? If so, do you know if there's a separate wire for the antenna or is it built into the wiring harness? I need to figure out how to get Sirius on mine as my Rogue didn't come factory ready for it.

Um, you do know that you need a separate satellite radio tuner, right? The head unit controls the tuner, not to mention it will also use a different antenna as well. Here's a parts diagram.

Backside of head unit. I think the third slot from the left is where the sat receiver plugs in. The sat receiver is listed as part 28051 and is used in many of Nissan's vehicles. You can find a used unit on eBay for less than half what a new one from a parts supplier would charge.

Yea, just couldn't find anything until now......

I'm thinking that'll basically work with the unit. Next dilemma is the backup camera, I'll have to call the dealership for the part number on that -- unless someone has that here.

For those who have this radio, any idea where I can get the GPS antenna? I believe it plugs into the blue socket in the following pic:

**update** in case anyone else goes through what I am (base model OEM head unit swap to GPS/Nav).....

After some research, I figured I'll need the following:

25975M ANTENNA ASSY-GPS (GPS Antenna and cable)
27960+A ANTENNA ASSY (Sirius/XM antenna housing)
28051 TUNER UNIT-AV (Sirius/XM tuner)

Image

I'm thinking that's it for the GPS & Satellite radio install. I assume the GPS antenna/module will run along the passenger side with the stock antenna wire (28242M), found a pic of what could be the actual GPS wiring:

Image

As for cost, I found the satellite tuner (28051) for $100 on eBay, lucky enough to find one WITH the wiring (used but oh well). Image

The GPS module/cable (25975M) is about $83 on NissanPartsZone.

I'll update as soon as the parts come in and I install.

Very interested in doing this on an '08 SL. We already have XM so all we would need is a GPS antenna? How much did you get the unit for? Did you wind up hooking up the reverse camera as well?

I know this forum is in zombie status but thought I'd give it a shot. I'm about to embark on the same exact situation with a nissan cube. Same stereo and all. Just wanted to know how it ended up working for you as far as steering wheel controls, the gps antenna etc. My biggest concern is that going by factory GPS antenna #, the connector doesn't look like anything on the back of the stereo. Did you find that you needed an additional harness etc?

Mine didnt have an option for the reverse camera i had mine from a wrecked 2010 sentra without reverse camera. look for the cars that had all the things your want. i.e. reverse cam, xm, nav and make sure the one you get is from those types of cars that have all the same functions. meaning don't get one from a sentra without reverse cam to put in a versa and try to add the reverse cam. Probably wont work without some extra parts im unfamiliar with.

side note. the xm radio antenna and the nav antenna were the only extra pieces i needed. the head unit had a xm receiver but no antenna.
If you have questions about it give me a shout and let me know if there is anything i can do to help. pm works the best.

edit* i found all my antennas on sell with nissan parts counter for about 10 to 20 bucks when they started discontinuing them... might search for wrecked cars or ask local nissan about parts... or my favorite talk to car-parts dot com... they typically can give you an idea what you need if you can guide them to the right area.
