When I start the car I can hear a kind of rattling vibrating noise coming from front end of engine. Engine has 125000klm on it. It sounds like a pulley bearing but also has a sound of a power steering pump straining noise... but it dissapears when warm. When I drive it cold which is very rare when I turn the wheels and the noise increases on and off and then eventually discipates... any ideas?

But I have no hard steering what so ever!

All good... it was power steering oil. Was too thick from age. Replaced and gone now.

Interesting... That noise is pretty common for a low fluid issue - but I've never heard of it thickening.

Either way, a fluid change is a good thing.
