Check fuses by driver foot well, I had some thing similar and it was just that 2 of my fuses were blown.

Not a problem, the cd player is probably related to some wiring behind the dash if the audio 1 or 2 fuses weren't blown, I would pull the cd player out and inspect the wiring check both power and grounds closely as well as any loose ends. If you cant find anything out of the ordinary use a multimeter and see if its getting power at all, it might be just a failed cd player.

"Theft Room L" is most likely the fuse you had missing. Doesn't actually have anything to do with the alarm system, however. It's designed to blow whenever someone tries to hotwire the car and gets the wires mixed up and shorts them or whenever the stereo wires are shorted together, mimicking someone cutting wires on the stereo and causing a short.

If the interior lights are working now and the CD player is not, then I'd suspect bad wiring behind the stereo or a bad head unit.

I recently purchased a (what i thought was a nice) twin turbo z. Pulling some old wires the the previous owner left not going to anything, I caused a short. "no big deal I will just pop in a fuse and all will be righted" but found the fuse was fine  pulled the fuse to check and found someone put a bit of wire around the blades  now my radio, dome light, map lights, clock, and I'm sure countless other things don't work and I haven't the foggiest idea where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated

@junkyS13 that's the exact same thing what happened to me...... They "jumped" the fuse by wrapping copper around the blades to allow power to flow through the fuse without the added protection..... So I just replaced the "Theft L" fuse (which was never there in the first place) and the interior lights started working just fine but the CD player's still out

Lol I will check all the fuse again to be sure. I tested to radio power and I have 12v to both wires and ground is to the body, so I guess I burned the radio (Super old alpine so I don't feel too bad) the clock and dome lights on the other hand don't have power!
This got me hunting around the dash and I keep finding more spliced wires that goto nothing. :gotme the thing I was tring to fix was the speedo and temp (speedo jumps to 40 the sec. the car moves, Temp works till you put your foot down then starts dipping).
Sorry kinda feels like I thread jacked you

Temp may be a real problem. You can confirm with a Datascan or Nistune laptop if someone in your area has one. The two sensors are different for the ECU and gauge.

Speedo issue is your speed sensor, on the transmission.

Island, the CD player has it's own fuse, check the audio fuses. If they're ok, time to get a multimeter on the wires and check for +12V with the key turned to "on"

sure enough it was the theft fuse (thought I checked them all, don't have the fuse panel door so couldn't figure out what was what) so many thanks for the help! now i just need to find a speed sensor and a nistune. still have a lot of wire to pull but i am going to check all the fuse to make sure no more are bypassed!
thanks Islandtuner & BigTdogg for the help,

Kerry C.
