Good... the new car market is so overloaded with this euro-crap 2.0T stuff. I know it's to comply with CAFE standards, but I'd sure like to see more Nissan and less Renault/MB/Samsung in some of their offerings.

Honestly, I was never a big fan of this deal anyway. Neither really needed the other's help, and MB is one of my least favorite brands right now since they're the kings of megacheap@ssery. The MFA2 platform is a fetid turd anyway. I would have walked away from it if I were Nissan. All the new A-class derivatives are horrible cars, and among the worst examples of brand markup in history. I can't believe anyone actually buys them (though I have read that they score HORRENDOUSLY on would-buy-again surveys). Even the C-class has gotten spectacularly cheap, though it was only ever barely a luxury car anyway. And the E-class has always been the most forgettable car in its segment (at least since the W124, anyway).

So, basically: unless Nissan is sharing G-class or S-class tech with MB, there's nothing to be gained that Infiniti isn't already better at.

The CLA and A3 are pretty much the stupidest cars on earth. $15,000 extra for a f*** badge because you need to impress the neighbors.

Pretty much exactly how I feel. Well said.

Spoken from someone that sounds like they have never driven an A45 AMG... just sayin.
I love me some Infiniti, but that is probably the best car I have driven and I have driven a few twice that price.

No amount of power makes a bad car a good car. Especially not when it's massively overpriced.

Having owned four dozen cars and driven more, including anything badged "AMG"...

No.
