We're really getting Alfredo24.pr's thread off-topic, so make a new thread and I'd be happy describe my setup.

Could this possibly be the common 'Flare' issue on these R50's? If I remember correctly it's something to do with the transmission Computer. Mine has a slight delay from 2-3rd and im all stock!
All i know is that it does have to do with the computer. Will update as soon as it is fixed and will try to get a detailed explanation.

Transmission fixed! New clutches and shift kit. I have not personally tried it out, but my friend who picked up it says it shifts perfectly and even sounds quieter. Cant wait to try it out and will post acceleration videos when I do!

What do you mean by "shift kit". Also could you get more info on the parts they are using? Since some of us will be considering this in the future and it would be great to know what parts where used.

I want to see the videos!!!! 0-60mph, 40-80mph pull, and maybe a 60-100mph!!

Shift kit: I do not know if this is the exact one that he installed but this is it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TRANSGO-SK-RE4R ... 43a9f7cbad

I will also get more information on the parts and videos definitely coming soon!

the shift kit is just to make it shift faster. i know it wont stop slipping. I know that new clutches were installed and higher voltage solenoids (or something like that) because the stock ones were weak at voltage in the 2nd to 3rd shift causing a slight delay. I'm sorry for sucking at all this mechanic stuff its just that I'm a busy college student :/

You must have a decent job in Puerto Rico to afford this. Especially paying for all the labor.

Well thats a bonus!!

I REAAAAAAALY wanna see the manifold and how he actually made the 2 banks of cylinders merge under the turbo

You really got no pics??

It boggles my mind how they could possible be merged in that tight area

in my head, its gotta be a one piece manifold, combining both banks, but how the hell would u squeeze that in??. But im thinking the turbo might just be run off the drivers bank of cylinders

Warn me before you post pics, I may need a cleanup towel haha

I also think its a one peice manifold, probably somewhere behind the engine/trans with custom pipe running to turbo, i dont see any other way it would work, and im pretty sure you can run a turbo off just one exhaust bank. 4 Bangers yes, but thats obviously cause they only have 1.

Did you mean cant? It definetely can be done, alot of gmc's go that route. A local acquaintance of mine has a turbo jeep, turbod off just the 3 cylinders, running like 7-8psi I think. It aint no big HP car either, it was a tiny turbo, but it kept up to my old srt4 pretty good.

Im thinking thats what alfredos setup just may be, but without pics.... :gotme

well crap you gotta know, youve looked at the engine enough times Im sure. Does the exhaust manifold for the passenger side come across the front, back or bottom of the engine to get to the drivers side and under that turbo..

just tried it out and it shift hard and precise. a little rough for low RPM shifts but excellent at high rpm shifts. it does want to turn off a lot more often at stops but haltech will fix that problem. I will get acceleration videos ASAP, take pic/vid of the manifold and contact my trans mechanic to ask him about specific parts. Stay tuned!

I tried to get the best pictures from the top and an under picture. The right side is the most visible, but the left was too hard to get a clear picture but I tried my best.

I will get them tomorrow. Here is an acceleration video. Kinda sucks at quality but at least sound is good.

Damn i like the vid, its not tuned all the way yet either? Should be better once it is.

Should do a launch vid from the cab looking at speedometer, and one with someone filming this bad boy taking off, should have wheel spin all thru first and some in 2nd.

Damn, that's cool! What's the code(s) that are causing the service engine soon light? I'm curious.

still missing haltech, plus it was shifting on drive. forgot to use the "semiautomatic" for it to shift at 6500 since it shifts too early on drive :/

How do you use this "semi-automatic mode"?

last time I checked it was something related to oxygen sensor when I installed k&n intake long time ago...I will tell my friend to scan for it since he has the device and let you know.
