1.Why is it mounted where your airbox was?

2.Are you using high heat resistant plastic hoses to feed the exhaust into the "turbocharger" because those blue hoses leading into there sure don't look like they would be able to handle exhaust heat?

3.Where is the second "turbo" or are you only running 1 for now?
1) Where else should it go?

2) Ummm, there's no heat there. That's not the exhaust-to-turbo connection (that happens at the manifold). The blue silicon coupler you see is the intake (cold air).

3) No need for two. In most cases a single-turbo setup is preferable.

Alfredo - Normally, creating a new account after a banning is :nono: . Don't give the moderation team ANY reason to take issue with you. Cool?

My mechanic is checking for options for the transmission problem. Hopefully I will have a solution by the end of this week!

Bump it upppp.
Loving the black grill!

I guess we're the only two with the black grill (that I know of).

Would look more aggressive with spacers or wider tires.

Thanks. Future upgrades are the transmission which begins this Monday and then somehow make 350z brembo brakes fit (I think spacers will allow to fit). I was just checking the eibach spacers the other day :)

After brakes comes the Haltech for real horsepower gains :D

I continue to be impressed.

Mind if I ask how much these mods have cost you so far?

All include all pieces necessary and install
1. Full Turbo Kit: $4200 (includes custom manifold and everything custom made for it to fit, plus dyno runs)
2. Full straight pipe 3'' exhaust with muffler : $490
3. Wideband and Boost Gauges (hidden dash style is more expensive):$724
4. Headlights: $200
5. Painted Rims and decals: $230
6. HIDs: dont remember but not much

I think thats it..

Sweet. We're all watching with eagerness.

Side q, not trolling, I obviously am in admiration, but, couldn't you have put that 6+k towards a car meant for speed and not have to fabricate all this extra stuff? I mean, let's say God forbid something happened, would your insurance cover the stuff you put in?

(I'm an S4 whore. It's the side car I have my eyes on)

Good stuff though.

Mannn...a couple years ago, in between my last car and this car, my dad made me pass up a sweet deal on a salvage B5 S4. It was a recovered theft. Needed a new ignition and fender ~2k repair. Granted it's not smart to buy a car WITH problems, I still regret it...

UPRM, maybe u saw it around Bayamon because I lend it to my sister's boyfriend since he was taking it to the mechanic for me and when the work is done, I let him keep it until I arrive for him to go to UPRB.

Left the transmission at work for another week. Everything is good except some problem with the current that causes a delay only from 2nd to 3rd gear. Will update next saturday when I can try it out. All other gears are working great.

Could this possibly be the common 'Flare' issue on these R50's? If I remember correctly it's something to do with the transmission Computer. Mine has a slight delay from 2-3rd and im all stock!

You should not be having any shift flare on your 2002. The problem affected 2001 R50s only.

Town, even the 1-2 shift flare? In mine it happens while cold in the mornings, also if you get pretty good on the gas, and then let off before it shifts into 2nd i can make it shift harder.

I have an 02.

The TSB for the shift flare issue is applicable to 2001 R50s only. It's reasonable to assume that the TCM and solenoid valve control assembly used in the 2002 MY R50s were the updated, non-affected versions. Not only that, but the transmission flaring from 1st to 2nd gear when accelerating hard from stop and then backing off on the throttle which occurs at all temperatures was a TCM fix only and does not apply to vehicles manufactured past April 20, 2000, so if your shift flare doesn't occur only during cold starts, then it's definitely not the same issue as the TSB indicates.

Yeah its only during cold starts (which is a protection feature i believe until fluid is up to temp) and the backing off throttle situation. So i think mine is all good.

Yep, the fluid is thicker when cold so naturally shifts may seem harder. I don't think it's anything to worry about as long as the fluid is in good condition.

Yeah, i changed it out 2yrs ago along with a new filter. Used valvoline synthetic blend high mileage. I think i might get an extra cooler as i like to push it hard in the summer from time to time. I think you have one installed? If so could you link me to the one you have.

Thanks
