Just got my exhaust delivered from a friendly NICOer, doing the install right now in my garage with ramps and jack-stands I thought that the ramps would be enought but I'm surprised that I need to replace all the tube! looks very similar I'll take some comparison pics if anyone is interested.

Any recommendations?

Enjoy the NISMO  Any recommendations? Yeah, get some PB Blaster for all the bolts. Depending on the mileage of your car and if it has seen snow/salt roads you might have some trouble getting them off.

Thanks, I got it installed this weekend it's a straight fwd job, except those two bolts from the back of the Y-pipe, I had to use a Torque wrench and put the car 2' in the air! in order to work on those bolts.

I'm updloading pics.

all that can say is that the sound is SMEXY! that RL Y-Pipe and Nismo exhaust are ment to be together!

Thats odd that most of those pipes on the nismo are pretty small! Looks less than 2 inches round. Thanks for the side by side shots. The 3.5 exhaust looks way less restrictive than the 2.5. That things a mess.

Congrats on the exhaust! After looking at the piping, I'm not exactly sure why they even bothered with the catback, but oh well. Anyone ever dynoed the difference?

Your car with the g37s looks totally slick.

I bet the thin pipes have to do with creating back pressure.

Thanx Xenon. That's why there is very little difference between the cat back and the axle back.

Yeah man, I was running that piping after turbo install and it wasn't good. Had to go and have 2.5 inch custom cat back made all the way to the muffler. The Nismo is 2 inches and crimps to 1.25 inches in some places. :(

wierd...... the 2.5 midpipe from right behind the header is deff thicker than that and does NOT crimp down to anything less than 2 inches.... u 3.5's got jacked lol. but u DO have a y pipe..... lol

i miss the sound of my nismo... it was so sexy... headers + nismo = sex. if only i was getting head right this second... it would be a perfect reminiscence........

Where did you get the exhaust from? I've been searching all over the net and calling every performance shop and dealership with no luck. :frown: :rotflmao

I got a long time ago, almost 2 years ago. I believe the nismo exhaust for the 3.5 altima is no longer in production, but there are other quality exhausts out there. best bet is to get it used of off of someone in the forums.
