Friday - people will be arriving and checking into the hotel.Check-in is 4pm.

Saturday - BBQ/Car Show/Swap meet. ~ Approx. Noon time.
It will be held at the Fontana Village Bonfire Pit. There are some benches, but no tables.

The BBQ/Car Show/Swap is going to be a NICO community event.
It isn't funded by any one person or organization.
So we will ALL need to pitch in and help out.
We will need BBQ Supplies, Food and Drink.

- Pretty much anything you want to eat/bring
- We'll most likely be at some kind of park, so if you want to bring games, cards etc
I was told that Fontana Village was 22 miles from town.
So we should probably hit up a store before we get to the hotel.
Lonestar & I rented cabins with kitchens and a fridge, so we can store food at our cabins.
If anyone else has a Fridge in their room, LMK if guys can store food in your fridge.
Caravans to The Dragon / Fontana Village
- South East Leg
The South East Leg will be starting in South Fl (Ft. Lauderdale/Miami), Thursday night ~7 -8pm.
Then arriving in the Orlando area 3-3.5 hours later (~1am).
I'll be making a stop in Gainesville, FL at Florida State. You guys can stop or keep going if you'd like.
Then making our way to the Discover Mall, to meet up with the GA people (~ 9am Friday).
I haven't heard anything from any Georgia people, so we probably won't be stopping in GA.
From there onwards to a weekend of fun (reach ~ 1-2pm Friday)
Here is the basic route we'll be taking: (I'm having issues with MapQuest and Google Maps)
FL Turnpike North from Commercial Blvd
Meeting up with Orlando guys at I4 & FL Turnpike area
Take the FL Turnpike all the way till it Merges with I-75 North
Stopping in Gainesville at I-75 & Rte 24 or SW Archer Rd
Then continuing on I-75 North till Marietta, GA
Then taking GA-5/I-575 North towards Canton

CB Radio <------- This worked great on a road trip from NY to Ohio, 25 - 240's. An antenna would really help the range though

First Aid Kit
Roadside Kit: tire repairs, compressor, flares, etc.

It can get cool at night, so some warm clothes might be a good idea!
Car Prep List:
Oil – Close to 5K mark on current Oil? Go for an early change.
Check/Tighten your IC Piping coupler
Zip-tie all Vacuum lines
Under hood Check –Look for leaks, broken/worn engine mounts, worn wires
Gearbox Oil – If near 2 years or 50K miles - Change
Brakes – Check Rotors for cracks (x-drilled) and Pads – Have at least 50% left
Brake Fluid – If near 1 year or 25K miles – Change
Coolant – If it’s yellow/green let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down!!!
Tires – Make sure you check your pressure!!! -Tread level should be at least ½, check for uneven wear
Wheels – Check Torque on lugs
Wipers – Replace blades if older – It could be quite wet
Lights – Check all lights to verify operation
Battery – good condition, make sure is securely fastened. Go to AutoZone get a FREE Alternator and Battery check.
Suspension – Check all bushings for wear, replace as needed
Steering – Check for wear – replace anything questionable.
P/S Fluid – Old and Nasty – throw in a cooler if you don’t have the cooler loop.
Exhaust – Secure with no leaks, check mounts
Heat shields – make sure you shield your BMC, wires and anything else near your manifold/downpipe/turbo etc…
Wheel Bearings – Check for excessive play
