As some of you know, the P1 Pink car at FMR is coming to Colorado to stay as I prepare it for the 90th running of the Pike's Peak International Hill Climb. As a result, the black truck is no longer needed! That's right... there is a 2,000lb paperweight now sitting in my garage.

Here are a few pics from its final voyage...

Image

A sign of things to come... the retiring of an autocross vehicle, looking onwards towards Pike's Peak. Are you all ready for 2012?

Stay tuned for all the latest from FMR and stay in touch with us on Facebook and Twitter!

If you saw the smokescreen and felt the whole axle move under the truck as I launched it from that stop sign... you may have thought so. Hell, I even broke a few things that dangled all the way home!

Note: Only about 10% of that smoke screen was from the awesome burnout... most was the fact that I seafoamed it.

Why don't you just turn it back into a daily driver instead of destroying it?

Because, Dave, that's not possible at this point.

Because, a grinder had its way with several areas of this thing. The parts that would need replacing just to be a DD include, but are not limited to: Hood, doors, all four fender wells and an interior.

It's actually going to be a full race car eventually. That plan is under wraps... but almost everything is for sale on this thing right now.

On the hunt for something new. Registration and insurance are already being pulled on this thing, finally, and I need to look for something able to tow a 2,500lb car on a trailer up Pike's Peak.... aka Cummins turbo diesel.

All the more reason to come over to F125. After driving a kart, you won't want to drive tin-tops.

I think the little formula cars with crash boxes are as just addictive as karts. They make porsche's feel numb. :bigthumb:

This. I haven't been in many years. Might try to combine it with a family vacation.

What's stuck under the front tire of the truck?

It'll be back before you know it...

We're in need of something to pull the 240 up Pike's Peak... last year we used a Dodge with a Hemi... not interested in a gasser after that experience.

A towel to keep it from rolling while I seafoamed it... it doesn't have an e-brake.
