new turbo now stalling..

new turbo now stalling..

My setup :
stock t25 turbo stock boost (7-8psi)
550cc injs
Z32 MAF
tune by RS-Enthalpy
big FMIL

new setup:
t3/t4 63 trim on mazworx mani (12psi)
550 injs
Z32 MAF
same tune as previous setup (I contacted Martin @ RS Enthalpy and he told me the tune he gave would still be good for 12 psi)
big FMIL

My initial setup ran good.. I have a vented BOV and it ran good never stalled. Now with this t3/t4 it dies after WOT while driving down the road like right after I let off the gas. When cruising it does not hickup or anything when pressing the gas. I checked all vacuum and I just recently cleaned the IACV. I had a stalling issue on the first setup but found my FPR vacuum line was loose, as soon as I put a new line and clamp it never stalled again. I didnt mess with anything vacuum wise when switching setups... The only line I messed with was the one on the bottom side of the TB. I put a rubber cap over the L shaped one which I am under the impression that was a pressure line, not a vacuum line anyways..
2nd is not a winner and noone remembers 3rd.

The line that goes to the bottom of the tb is meant for the charcoal canister and is ok to cap off. A t3/4 turbo flows x2 air and I'm sure when its blowing off, its making your maf go richer than your previous setup. Cam you tighten your bov?

A classic case regarding the need to reciruclate the BOV properly. I know I know, there are guys who have 'no issues' and some setups work if you learn to drive around or crank the IACV/Idle up, but at the end of the day, if you recirculate the setup, it will help it out big time.

damn, what up cody? I still havent got a s13 ka compressor for those brackets I got from ya!! You wouldnt have a s13 ka compressor for sale would you? Ne ways I emailed Martin over at RS Enthalpy and he told me my intake pipe was to short and the air being drawn in by the turbo was vortexing not allowing the MAF to read correctly. He said try and extend my intake pipe more in front of my radiator (atleast 12in away from turbo) and try it. It fixed everything. Im still running atmospheric BOV and no stalling issues what so ever. But you are correct, the proper turbo setup is with a recirc'd BOV. :)
