hello i just picked up a 1997 q45 for a good deal. the downside is the car recently had a power steering pump failure which means no power steering but it makes a weird ticking sound almost like a knock, but goes away as soon as im driving. but in low rpms you can hear it once again. i want to know if anyone has ever experienced this and what i should go about doing first to fix the problem. i was thinking id bleed the system tomorrow since i cant find a pump anywhere right now

What does your engine oil look like and PS fluid? Any other useful history on this? Does the knock change with engine speed, or does it just stop when you start driving?
