I'll introduce myself.

My daily driver is a 05' 350Z roadster but my main project is a 93' 240SX Fastback/Hatchback.

It's been a painful project of a lot of fixes here and there. Here's the list of things that's been done so far. Feel free to ask any questions.

1993 Nissan 240sx

VQ35DE swapped w/ VQ30DE upper end
Z33 6-speed Transmission
Custom driveshaft
Welded Diff (Came with the car, I hate it)
Godspeed GT30 turbo
2.5'' Vband downpipe
HKS SSQV BOV
Apexi Neo Controller
AEM Wideband
Custom Intake manifold
3'' Catted custom exhaust
Random no-name intercooler

Exterior:

Rattle canned plasti-dip Yellow (It's ugly I know, it's temporary to get rid of all the multi-color
Duraflex C-west Knockoff Front end
JP Type II side skirts and rear bumper
OEM S15 non HID headlights
Origin Labs +30mm Fenders
Enkei RPF1 17x8.5 +30 Front, 17x9 +22 Rear
Federal 595 RS-R tires, 235/40-17 F, 255/40-17 R

Welcome to NICO! The 240 looks like it's been a good quality project car so far. The ride height looks like factory, so I'm guessing most of the project funds went to getting the VQ and 6 speed fitted?

Did a hit and miss with the offsets. the 17x9 +22 rears didn't cut it and now I need 30mm rear overfenders. Rest assured, coils are next on the shopping list.

Welcome! You don't see a lot of boosted VQ's in the 240, very nice!

The host was a 96 Infiniti I30 mated with the Z33 transmission. I thought about going the Z32 route but from what I read it's best I stick with the Z33 for better ideal drifting so to speak. (My assumptions could be wrong though)

The power output isn't the least impressive at all, the NA VQ30's are not boost friendly whatsoever. Right now I'm stuck at a very, very conservative tune @ 6psi with 236whp/252ft lb. More boost and timing is causing too much knock. After the coils/suspension, I got internals to work on next.

Right now I'm victim to turbo flutter so I need to work on that first.

Here's a video when I drove it today.

I dont know much about turbo's, but if your getting turbo flutter, dosent that mean that the air from your turbo isn't ventilating properly when the throttle is closed? check your BOV i think
