So many of you remember my recent radiator related issues. Well I finally got a new one and got it installed..

I picked up an ALL METAL CSF radiator from radiator barn for $197 including shipping and lifetime warranty...

https://www.radiatorbarn.com/search.php ... t=radiator

The radiator fit perfect, is a GREAT quality piece.. I was more than impressed with this, especially for the price. Special props to Aaron (Bwana) for recommending me to radiator barn... I ordered it on monday and had it wednesday.

Below is a side by side of the old and new rad... The new one looked like it had a little thicker core than the old one, but that could just be..

i put one of those on my Q when the rad cracked, i think i bought it from radiatorworld which appears to be cheaper than radiatorbarn. bought the all metal for a camry, also.

i found that csf's are cheap rads, look like cheap rads but function fair enough. if you're expecting a pretty rad or a rad without minor finish issues look for an alternative, but there really isn't one. actually i think the camry one was messed up at the filler neck, rad cap didn't want to go on so i just forced it on there.

that being said i wouldn't hesistate to buy another csf when the need arises.

I clearly dont care what it looks like, but if I can punish it with track days and it holds up I'll be a happy camper..

I actually like the black finish, kinda fits in with everything in the "neighborhood"

Hey Elwesso, I am new to this site and this is my first post. I am installing an external transmission cooler and a AT solenoid switch on my Q. Can you answer any of these two questions: What transmission line going to the radiator is the return line? Where is the location of the AT solenoid switch? Thank you, John

Welcome to NICO John. I have no personal experience on this one so I'm not exactly sure which lines are supply/return on the radiator but the FSM should give you some clue. Its been asked before so if you do a search you'll probably be able to find it.

The external sensors and connectors you're looking for are mounted on the underside, rear of the transmission near the where it meets the driveshaft. You'll see a cluster of 3 or 4 connectors. Look through the AT section of the FSM for the info you need.

Normally you want to start your own thread for a question like this, and introduce yourself if your new, to make it easier for future searchers to find your thread and answer the same question. Good luck.

it doesnt matter which one is the return line or supply line, just hook it up to the cooler!
