I bought a Certified Pre-Owned G35X at Infinity of Norwood, MA. According to the website:

Every Certified Pre-Owned Infiniti must be in prime condition and pass a 145-point analysis. Every significant component of the vehicle is scrutinized, including:

* Vehicle title records
* Major and minor powertrain components
* Chassis, suspension and steering
* Interior condition and feature functions
* Exterior panel and paint condition
* Complete road test

During the test drive I found the passenger seatbelt buckle malfunctioned, the brakes pulsed and the tire tread was marginal. While I waited, the dealer surfaced the brakes and game me an IOU on the seatbelt. The brakes now squeal and when I got an oil change, noticed uneven tire wear possibly caused by poor alignment.

Does anyone have a copy of the CPO inspection so I can beat the dealer with it?

Thanks
Dave

First off, I wouldn't trust a dealer that can't spell their name right.

Aside from that, you should take up your concern with the Dealer's General Manager and Service manager. The brakes should be new and oem, the tires new or almost new, and there should be some warranty with it. The dealer should be willing to resolve all issues with the vehicle. It sounds like whoever inspected the vehicle didn't do a thorough job with it.

OK, first off, I'm a dyslexic engineer but I got it, "Infiniti".

I wrote an e-mail to the sales manager and cc'ed the GM including a picture of uneven tire wear. The service manager took care of me and they realigned the car and gave me new tires but charged $110 for installation, not bad. They performed the brake squeak TSB but I still get occasional squeaks while braking. Otherwise I've been delighted with my G.

A dealership that you can fully trust does not exist.
They are all out to make or save a buck.
It sounds like you need to double check their 145- point list.
Personally, I think it's pretty sleezy of Infiniti of Norwood to charge you the $110.
Hopefully, there is another Infiniti dealer near by.
For non-warranty work, try a local Nissan dealer.

Welcome to Nico!!! :cheers:

I bought a used 2007 G35x from the same dealership almost two years ago. We got the maintenance plan because the oil changes alone would save me a few hundred dollars over the next five years. I've been bringing the car in for regular service since then and have had nothing but wonderful experiences.

I'm glad to see that you seemed to get your issues more or less resolved. Steve has always treated me right and made my visits completely hassle free. If anything new crops up, or if you aren't satisfied with the brakes, let him know. He should be able to help you out.
