I recently installed a turbo on this engine,

At first was working ok, but then it started working/Idling a bit crazy/rich, i have a AEM UEGO Wideband, so i decided to get consult and got a U12 Stanza ecu that came with the wires already soldered to the ecu pins also got a blazt cable, installed the usb drivers, but i can´t get consult out of it, i don´t know if i need to install somekind of board on the ecu or if i should get consult just by soldering the wires in the correct pins?

Anybody out there getting consult out of a U12 ecu can send/post pictures or tell me what am i doing wrong?

Thanks

I do not want to believe there is nobody out here using a 90-92 U12 Stanza ECU with consult!

I found this hybridka topic, http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... clnk&gl=pt, and it says, one needs to move pins!
Anybody can confirm me this or explain me how can i wire the consult connector on the U12 ecu?

Thanks

I got my consult cable and the female connector directly from Blazt, the ecu with the wires already soldered, i bought from a guy who´s a user on ka-t forum!

wiring looks about right to me, and presumably you'd hope it was done to allow consult to work, lot of effort if they got it wrong.

is the ecu ROM on that ecu still standard? confirmed the consult cable works on a normal car? (dont imagine it would be at fault, but doesnt hurt to rule out cable/laptop/software/user error as cause).

other thing to check would be if those wires on the ECU harness are there - maybe they go somewhere, and perhaps they are causing trouble so might need to be cut so they dont interfere with this wired in connector?

you bought what from a user on ka-t? the ecu, the car, or the consult cable or combination thereof?

The eprom is working ok.
I don´t understand what do you mean with, "other thing to check would be if those wires on the ECU harness are there - maybe they go somewhere, and perhaps they are causing trouble so might need to be cut so they dont interfere with this wired in connector?" What wires?

normally the consult plug connects to the ECU via the normal wiring harness connector. if that harness has wires in it for the pins used by consult (just the 3 RX/TX/CLK in middle connector, not the 2 power ones at edge of ECU), and those wires are e.g. shorted to ground or other problem, then that might stop consult from working. its unlikely, but possible.

did the guy on ka-t say that consult works?

I checked the harness connector and the sockets for the 3 pins are empty,

I know that i need to move some pins on the ecu, but i´m still lost on wich ones and how do i do it?
Can´t find any "how to do" guide for this.

thats fine then, nothing can be interfering with consult if the pins are missing.

I´m still lost, so how can i get consult, if the ecu pins (7,14,15) aren´t connected to anything on the harness?
On the hybridka topic i linked above, it says one needs to connect pin 5 to pin 7, Pin 23 to pin 15 and pin 25 to pin 14, i´m thinking, if i take the wire/pin 5 from it´s harness connector socket and place it on the pin´s 7 socket and so on i should get consult working?
There´s something else i can try, i just got a stock Stanza ecu, i can solder the consult plug wires and see if it works!

you already have that plug that was wired into the correct wires as per your second post? so the wires missing from harness are fine

did you verify yet from the guy you bought it from that it was wired up right and he had it working? i mean if it worked for him, and you havent changed the ECU, it should work for you...why it doesnt is anyones guess. verified the consult cable/laptop you have work on another car?

checked voltages of the pins? RX of the plug (no cable connected) should be ~12v, IGN 12v. and with the consult cable connected and plugged into the car, on the blazt cable i think the CLK should be like 2.4-3v, TX should be i think ~12V, and i think RX remains 12v
