New Addition to NICO HQ

Postby nissangirl74 » Fri Mar 12, 2010 8:15 am

Last weekend, Greg and I decided to adopt. She has been passed around for several years and had a few issues come and go. However, when we saw the pictures, we knew we couldn't say no. Greg and I decided that someone as beautiful as her needed a good place to call home where she would be loved, pampered, and taken care of for the rest of her days. She is resting comfortably now, getting used to her new surroundings and anxiously awaiting her debut. BTW, we need help picking out a name for her.

After I kill a spider, I toss the f*cker in the toilet and pee on its lifeless, 8-legged body while laughing maniacally. It's not for the lulz. It's a warning to every other spider nearby. Cross me and I'll f*cking kill you. AND PEE ON YOUR CORPSE!!!!

The Z is "Bella" so that's too close to "Belle".

I was addicted way before I met Greg. I had a bunch of Datsuns before I ever discovered NICO.

Lol. The leading story makes it seem like a dog or cat was adopted. Man i love the shape of these cars. If i ever decide to leave Miami, i'm moving next to you guys. You all seem like fun (from a car-lover's perspective) neighbors. You guys wouldn't mind right?

I think it would be awesome to have a bunch of NICOnauts in our little corner of the desert. I'm sure the neighbors would welcome you all with open arms..... . It's funny though, they roll their eyes every time they see a trailer pull up to the driveway, but these are also the ones that stop by to chat every time the garage door is open.

Y'know, for the price of a new 370Z, we've got lots of less-expensive (but cool) toys.

You'd be surprised how much fun you can have with an old Datsun that cost a couple grand, versus a new car that ANYONE and EVERYONE has.

I don't want to pull up next to someone in the same identical car.

The fact that Becky enjoys messing with them makes it all the better. Good times.

A wiring harness is a must. She gets the L20b when it's finished and her tranny will have to be rebuilt. New radiator.

Anyone who happens to have a set of side markers for her, I need some. They are not the square ones, they are the "arrow-marker-lights" ones unique only to the '68. I was gonna post a picture of them but I can't even find a good picture to post.

Anyway, she will stay black and she'll get a windshield banner but other than that, her appearance won't change much.

I'm thinking she is gonna stay black. Might do something with Gloss Black for a sweet contrast stripe.

nothing wrong with black.

a glossy red engine bay however will let ya see what's leaking

and look freaking sweet in contrast to the satin black.

That's a good point. Even though my goal is to not have any leaks.

She pee'd green all over the sidewalk today so I guess now would be a good time to start pulling her apart and figure out why.

Looks like we're gonna do gloss black bumpers and trim, as well as some subtle gloss black BRE-style stripes, and a set of gloss black Panasports or Wats with a polished lip.
