So my computer crashed... again. I got the blue screen and now when I try to even turn it on, the wallpaper wont even show, and I cant open anything at all. I also get an endless amount of warning bubble about viruses and infections.

So my question is how can I reformat it? I already did it once like last year but I cant remember for the life of me how to do it again, I completely forgot and now I cant find it.

Any help is welcome. Also keep in mind I am very illiterate at computer language. Please speak English for me haha. Thanks

Yeah I know exactly what's going on here.

Pretty much the nastiest Malware I have ever dealt with. The only way I have been able to deal with it is the same way I have seen IT pros deal with it.,..

Reinstall your Operating System.
Have your OS disk that came with your computer when you bought it and just start fresh. To stop it from happening again make sure to have virus and malware protection. Run those programs weekly and stop DLing/watching p0rn.

Yeah I know about the disk and all and that sucks about intensity. But like what I need to know is when I first start it, do I press F2 or esc or whatever it is in the top right corner when it first starts loading? btw its just a plain '07-'08 Dell if that changes anything.

haha no, I acyually dont download anything at all really for just that reason of risking viruses. No limewire, no iTunes, none of that. But as far as that 2nd statement, well you know...... Im a guy :gapteeth:

aight so I just tried setting to factory defaults by pressing F2 at the first load screen. I went there, went to reset to defaults, said it will reset like it was when it left the factory, pressed ok, "command acknowledged", ok. After that it went to the desktop but nothing has changed. It was still doing the same stuff as it was doing before as if nothing happened with the restore. wtf now? Can I just throw it out the window and have $1000 fall from the sky?

What you need to do is...

Press F2 or Del
When you enter your Bios menu turn your primary boot option to the CD drive instead of your hard drive.
Once you do that your PC will load up the disk instead of the OS.
From there follow the instructions etc.

It should be pretty straight forward. What PC you have won't matter, the menu's in the bios will be different from other PCs but every thing still applies.

EDIT:

Make sure to back up all your files on a USB thumb drive or external HDD.

A lot of modern computers boot from CD out of the box, so you may not need to change anything. But yeah, hit F2 or whichever key to enter BIOS setup and confirm your CDROM drive is first in the boot order. Then pop in your Windows CD and it'll take care of everything else. XP and newer do it all for you, so just insert CD, power on, and follow the prompts.

You need to check what kind of on board sound you are using. Then you need to get the drivers that match.
Older machines have older sound hardware and the drivers are only available for XP or Vista; just run them in "Compatibility Mode" and it should work.

@alms24sebring,

Yes, your computer was crashed ,I have to suggest you should apply new installation of operating system. You have require one bootable CD then place in to CD Rom drive and restart your PC ,then setup will be start and setup will give the further information of installation..

Have a nice day..
