Hey does anyone want trade a backup image of the Region 1 CD for an image of their Program disk?

Or does anyone want to give me a hand and create an image of their Program disk?

I bought a 2001 QX4, it didnt have a map CD so I got an image of that, but apparently its the wrong version, so I need a Program CD version 5.5 to update my nav. As of right now I have a useless navigation system.

http://www.zenrin.com - that's the company that sells the nav maps and dvd's - you can find a new one there.

Hey BoostTed, did you ever find a solution for your problem? I think I have a similar issue. I have a 2001 QX4 nav unit that is throwing an error upon boot, saying that I need to insert a program disc. Any information or tips that you have would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Greetings all,
I recently purchased a 2002 QX4 that has factory navigation but unfortunately it is missing the map CD. I know that the maps would be outdated if I had the system up and running but I'm tired of looking at the missing map cd screen. I would just like to have the stock system working. I've searched eBay but surprisingly there aren't any data CDs being sold. As many systems as I've seen for sale without CDs you would think there would be a lot of them available. Does anyone have a source for finding these older map CDs?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Map DVD's are available through INFINITI. They're broken down into regions, and cost $120 each: http://infiniti.navigation.com/product- ... nitiNA/USD

I did a quick search on ebay and found a few compatible DVD's available. The first one is Version 5.5 and covers TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, and is being offered at $70.

The second one is Version 5.5 and covers CA & NV, and is listed for $95.

The third one is Version 5.4 and covers DE, NJ, VA, DC, plus parts of PA, MD, NC, and the sale price is $70.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't run across any CDs for my region so it looks like my best option is to convert to the non navigation setup and install an aftermarket stereo/navigation upgrade. Solves the broken button problem on the climate controls as well. I found a guy that produces replacement buttons using a 3D printer but at $30 a pop it's cheaper in the long run just tried so the conversion.

Oo! What's the source for the guy making replacement buttons? I wondered if it was possible, but figured they wouldn't be strong enough.

His ebay account is here:

http://www.ebay.com/usr/shizelkadizal?_ ... 7675.l2559

I notice that there is a typo in the listing and the price says $100 but if you read the description he specifies $30 per button. The one I ordered and received worked fine after I trimmed the width of the plug in tab down a bit (a really, really, tiny bit. less than 1mm). It isn't an "exact" duplicate of the factory button but it is the functional equivalent. Where the factory button has translucent white plastic for the button symbol the replacement was printed with an opening which he then filled with clear silicon. I'll post a picture when I get my QX4 back from the shop (again!).
