Hi, while I am taking every part out of my engine, I kind of mess up with the Distributor, now the distrbutor is out, but ( I am not sure if I put it back it , it would be in the right position),but I haven't take out the chain yet, could anyone tell me how to fix it ?

I'm rebuilding my engine and havent gotten this far yet, i'm still waiting on my pistons, but i believe this is correct.

Once you remove the timing chain, you should be able to set the #1 piston to Top Dead Center (TDC) on the compression stroke. One of the two silver links on the new timing chain will align with the small dot on the crank sprocket. Then turn the cam sprocket until the dot on it will align with the other silver link on the new timing chain. Turn the distributor to point at the #1 wire tower. You will have to adjust with a timing light to get it correct from there. I believe the correct setting is 15 degrees before TDC.

Hope this helped! Good luck!
