my running lights work in the back but no brake lights, i just got a ticket for inspection but pulled over for license plate lights, he didnt even mention brake lights which surprised me. i need some assistance either electrically or just simple mechanics. anyone let me know this weekend is good. kyle, 214 499 7693

If you look at under the dash on drivers side, you will see 2 switches operated by brake pedal. One is for cruise control and the other one is brake light. IIRC, right one is brake and left is cruise. I'd check that switch first. Next thing would be... remove plastic trims inside of trunk and see if all the wires look okay. Also you should go through all those standard procedures like checking bulbs, fuses and stuff.

thanks man, but i fixed it yesterday, shoulda posted that...check this out, the switch wasnt plugged in..so thent he brake lights stayed on..so i did the nickel-penny trick and got my license plate lights fixed (ticket for emissions from 2002 and reason was plate light) got my emissions so gotta go whipe that away.

Cool, man. What emission? Too much Nox? I had that problem last year and fixed it. I sprayed carbon cleaner(Deep Creep) to EGR valve and drove around. I also put some octane booster(tiny orange bottle) from Autozone too. My Nox dropped to 20% or something and passed.
