NC FOLKS: Scammer Alert: '90silvia/90RPS13/Alec Bradford

Hello, some of you might know Alec Bradford, aka '90silvia. He apparently lives in the Charlotte/Mooresville area and has shipping addresses in Greensboro.

I thought he was a pretty reputable guy after seeing some positive feedback on Zilvia and speaking to him over the course of a couple weeks, so we arranged a trade in late June. The deal was, I would trade him a set of leather s-13 seats for a bunch of miscellaneous parts to get my coupe project on the road. Considering I turned away offers for well over a hundred dollars for the set in favor of Alec's $50 some-odd worth of parts, obviously he got a great deal since i also covered shipping ($80 via greyhound).

So on July 12th the seats go out. I have the original receipt. The same day, I notify him and fill him in on what details I am able to provide. July 13th, I receive the following email:

"Hey man, scheduled pick is for tomorrow. So you should get them before Wed. of next week. Thanks again. *a"

The same day, he claims to have shipped FedEx ground and that his shipping costs equalled mine. He said there was no tracking number.

July 19, I am told he received the seats and they are in "decent shape" according to his email. To my questions regarding his shipping my parts, he responds that he has had car trouble and hasn't gotten it back, claims to be picking up some extra parts and apologizes. This is Lie #1.

July 24, I email him wondering about his progress. Again he says scheduled FedEx pickup is noon of the next day. Alec tells me I should have them by the end of the week. Again, another apology for the delay. Lie #2.

July 31st, Alec informs me that he has been in an accident and he has totalled his car and is emailing me from his palm pilot in the hospital. He asks me to start a thread on Zilvia because apparently other members are waiting on parts from him and he is having trouble contacting them. I respond with my condolences and oblige him by starting the thread. He informs me that his girlfriend mailed my parts to me that day. Lie #3.

In this thread on Zilvia, other members are revealed to be waiting on their parts impatiently. A couple weeks go by and I am left answering These members in Alec's place because nobody can make contact with him. I email him repeatedly, send him IM's through his phone and private messages through Zilvia, all unanswered. PHLIP, a Zilvia member/moderator? who is local to Alec steps up to defend his rapidly tarnishing reputation with his customers. Alec reappears to restate that he has been recuperating and will take care of business ASAP.

August 24th, almost a month later Alec responds to one of my many emails:

"...Your parts actually just went out today about 45 minutes ago. *a" Lie #4.

September 7th, another inquiry as to where the parts are is met with this response:

"What up man. I just flew back from New York this morning. I will check and see whats up, my Secretary was suppose to sent it out over a week ago when I left?... *a" Lie #5.

September 12:

"Hery Chris. I was waiting for UPS to get back to me. My secretary did send it through out office, but UPS held it back because there was no delivary address. I dont know how it slipped out of the office like that but they have it at the hub and I am on my way there when I leave the office at 4. I will have the tracking number for you asap. *a" Lie #6.

September 13:

"Got your package on her way finally... *a" Lie #7.

Send numerous emails to him between now and then. Today, on September 28, I finally decided enough was enough well over 2 months past when I was told I would receive the parts. I posted on Zilvia in the thread I started with a progress report, then contacted another member that Alec had done business with. It turns out he never got his parts either, was promised a refund and then lost contact with Alec. He posted as much in the thread as well.

Almost immediately, I received this pm from Alec:

"Man, How much do you want me to just send you? I have to box sitting here with all your parts, **** I can even take a picture, I am just strapped for cash since my motor blew, lost my job since my motor blew and have a house mortage due in 2 weeks. I just havent had the funds nor the time to send it out. I am selling most of my toys as you can see in my signature, so as soon as some of the cash goes into paypal i can ship or send you cash. Which ever you prefer. I feel ashamed at the situation as well as imbarrassed. Please do forgive me. Thanks. *a"

Since I had been forced to spend more money and buy the parts I needed separately, I responded offering him a chance to redeem himself: He could paypal me $100 for the seats and $80 for the shipping (more than fair) and I would drop the issue, or I would deal with the situation accordingly. I have sent him numerous pm's and emails and have not recieved a single reply.

He promised a refund to me and the other members he shafted but has been looking for and buying other parts in the meantime with the money he should be paying back.

Alec Bradford is a liar and a scammer, despite his reputation with members of high standing at Zilvia.

All of this correspondance is stored on my hard drive and I would be happy to forward any and all of it to any interested parties by their request.

Shame on you, ya scamming-a$$ punk.

And shame on that miserable turdbasket forum that protects asshats like this.

The good news is, we have lots of members in the area, and I myself travel out that way on occasion - Shouldn't be hard to arrange an "in-person" discussion.

What a moron!.... thats one reason I never like doing any trades over the internet. Get the physical address and any trash you can dig on Google from this guy. You can use it to your advantage and the way things look like you will...

ive got 2 physical addresses for him so far, for whatever good it will do me. i was able to find several other forums in which he is active and post this or notify the moderators as to his actions.

hey i think this is the same guy that scammed me only he used the name "Doug Bradford"...pretty much the same story...effed me out of $900
(l.s.d.) i have his address too...i say we do something about this guy like a class action suite or something cuz i still have all the emails he sent me so i have evidence that he scammed me...any1 else whose been scammed should reply to this post so we can get something on this guy and get our stuff back.

This guy was "SUPPOSED" to come pick up my car I had for sale ... gave me some pathetic stories as he did everyone else ... I held it for like 2 1/2 months for him and then when he "said" he'd have enough money he brought up some bullcrap like "oh my girlfriend is pregnant, and about to have her baby ... " so i was like okay, then in 1 month you can buy it blah blah blah ...

1 month later ... i contact him to see what he has to say now ... and he says "dude i'm sorry i got in a really bad wreck and have been recovering, I'll be buying the car from you in another wk or two though after I get out of the hospital" ... so I'm like ... damn this guy is pathetic, if he just doesn't have the money say so.

Then I try contacting him again ... and same as everyone else ... no response or more bullcrap. I should've made a post about him a while back ... sorry bout ur seats and stuff dickie ... I'll check my email when I get home to see if I have anymore information that could assist you ... but i might have deleted them all ... I do have documented IM conversations with him on AIM (Trillian) that I could send you.

Also, thanks for the TB assembly ... my car is ... on the brink of running correctly (like it has been for the past 8 months haha)

I bailed on Zilvia a while ago because most of the people there are A$$hats! The few that aren'ttotally incompetent or theiving douche bags are also on here.

All in all NICO is a much better run forum, to which the superior participation of the admins should be credited. Job well done fellas.

Good luck with everyone's situation, I'll be happy to provide the hammer with which to nail his balls to a table. I myself have got $700 in various money orders in the US postal service right now and this kind of story makes me cringe.

Sorry you had to go through that. Hopefully things will turn up for you. Just stay cool as possible. As far as the shipping, anyone that says they ship fedex and don't have a tracking number are lying. fedex documents EVERYTHING, and if for some rare reason they don't have a tracking number the shipper is supposed to get a moneyback guarantee....aside from that, the item would STILL be able to be tracked WITHOUT a tracking number with one of their software programs called INSIGHT. ask the guy about that and see what he says.

i got scammed by this guy also for 500 bucks for a silvia front end ... i have all my reciepts, address, signature from post office, and some other stuff ... I even talked to this guy on the phone and have a number that i called repeatedly ... now he doesnt "have that number anymore"

Well ShiftGEAR how about this, You sent me a ****ing open diff for $900 and then wouldnt reply to my email about sending it back. I am not paying for it to be sent back. you send me a shipping label or money i would be more then happy to send it back. as far as dickie, i am sending him back his seats. thats all.. alec

dont even try to pull that cuz i have records of our emails where i suggested that u would send me my diff back through UPS and have them charge me the delivering fee when i got it and u never replied back...i also sent an email about 3 weeks ago and u didnt reply to that one either so u tell me whats going on...

YOU are the one who pulled a fast one on people, and the only reason you got away with it for so long is because of the pathetic loser staff on that wannabe forum you use for your personal scams.

If you got a bogus rearend, all I can say is, what goes around comes around.

By the way, some of your "stories" are bogus. I did a little research into you (<--Special Investigator), and you should probably save all the sob stories and excuses, because they're not true.

At least everyone knows who he is now. It's always good to have + feedback from other members and also people that can verify that the seller isn't a scammer. I always love it when someone gets what they deserve... things that go around, always do come around in one form or another... even tragic accidents. I hope you get yours..scammer.

wow. this really sucks. i hope everyone gets their stuff straightened out.

fyi - being scammed is no reson to turn around and do the same to other members. i pretty much constantly have stuff coming and going, i really pride myself on taking care of everyone i do business with the best i can. if there's a misunderstanding, i try to provide all documentation (im very thorough

) and i will make up for it if im at fault. ust ask anyone ive done business with.

guys do me a favor and register at carolinanissans.com and let the mods know what you think about alec bradford. they refuse to let me post anything regarding him in a negative light on their site without corroboration. if you could, let them know how much you appreciate proven scammers.

also, to report him to the greensboro NC police department, fill out this form.

if you have a complaint, please let the police know about it since alec wants to tell everyone hes working on it while doing absolutely nothing.
