ok guys after watching jerry's build ive been inspired to build mine! i've been collecting parts for the past 8 months or so! the chassis is a 96 240sx se, which as stated above is getting the vh45 heart transplant! heres some pics of my progress and parts! maz headers

my z trans and maz adapter plate

x pipe and maz drive shaft

my rear sub frame w/spl solid bushings and maz subframe brace welded up and undercoated

my Z VLSD, spl solid bushings and Greddy diff cover!

maz intake and filter

my z rear spindles and R33 ebrake cables

act clutch and xtd flywheel

maz exhaust flanges and vibrant gasketsupper plenum

my engine, very dirty

and the ride

she needs some tlc but it's coming along slowly i have z front and rear calipers that are out being powdercoated! as well as some 240sxmotoring ss conversion brakelines

thanks man, i just cleaned up the diff and painted it with undercoat, painted the output shafts gloss black and i'm gonna paint the axles too! so hurry up and get over to get some pics! will update with more pics soon!

ok so heres some more parts and tonights progress! sub harness (charging, alternator, starter, and trans harness) 300z starter box o'mazworx goodies griffin radiatorso here's the progress from tonight! diff cleaned up and undercoated, painted input shafts, and companion flange! installed diff into subframe and that's it for tonight!

One thing are you sure that radiator fits between the frame rails, iirc that radiator 26272 is 31 inches wide 19 inches tall, and the frame rails are only 27.5 inches wide. double check!!!

Im ordering another radiator today overnight, because of course 4 days before d1 i bust my griffin core

Is that a NA or TT tranny?

thanks man and the trans is na, not as strong but i think the gearing is better for na! dont quote me on that i may be wrong, but i know the tt case is thicker and inside diameter where the clutch goes in is larger!

scratch that jerry found it, its the 26221-x, i called summit and they're sending me that one and i have to send mine back in the box cause i threw the first one out! so if anyone else is doing this swap lookup the griffin 26221-x not the 26272 or 26242. thanks for the input i would have been pissed had i not found out sooner!

ok guys couldn't hold back anymore on these beauties! im super stoked because the work decals match the color of the car! can't wait to get the suspension back together and mount them up!

Size and offse?

Glad you got the radiator thing sorted out, the one i used is a 26221x bassicly 26 x 16. Sorry i havent been able to get back to you, been busy getting the car ready for d1. Other than that Everything looks great

same size you got i think! 18x10's in the front and 18x11's in the rear! the offset is +18. no biggie on the rad im just glad you told me! thanks man! oh and another question i was gonna ask is did you use any kind of spacer on your flywheel or a spacer behind your pilot bushing/bearing? cause in one of the other threads i saw superhatch talking about that! j/w lmk thanks

i just called infiniti and i think i need to change my underwear! i broke one of my ignitors, and infiniti wants $633 bucks for one! and thats my cost! can anyone help a brother out?

i might have a spare 6cyl ignitor...will need some minor repinning but will work just fine.

thanks guys i just can't believe that something so tiny could cost so much! carl i may need some help with the wiring in my car, im more than qualified to do the work just may need to pick your brain on a few things! i've worked @ nissan now for 9 months now so im still learning how to navigate the manuals and assist, but ive been working on cars for 9 yrs now, 7yrs @ chrysler, 1 @ local goodyr, then i got on @ the nissan dealer. i can honestly say i'm very happy @ nissan, just very frustrated with their fsm's. efeezie you've got mail!thanks again to everyone!

interesting...i would bet that greddy designed that rear cover initally for the gtr as it has holes for the abs/atessa pickups but then also decided to market it to the s14 guys as well.

ok guys got some more parts in and a little more progress done!

axles prepped and painted up! upper plenum collars and gaskets. valve cover gskts. exhaust gskts. super expensive from infiniti $115 but i got em aftermarket for like $48 or so! ok this is my z32 rear lower balljoint nuts, washers, and spindle inserts, the nuts and washers are $41 doll hairs my cost! the inserts $9 bucks for the pair! go figure! ? and the motor looking filthy, and getting some weight loss from jenny craig!

i know right! the motor did set outside under my carport for about 6 months, and that is after cleaning out the leaves and rainwater! i'm gonna hit up the carwash and clean it up but i gotta find a way to plug the int and ex ports!
