I just added a new chrome grille, it makes my ride look so much better and cleaner. All that I need to do now is get a center emblem for it. I was thinking about plastidipping my old one, but I think I might do something different.

I threw the old grille out, sorry. It was not in the best of shape, it was faded, it had a deep scratch mark on it and there was overspray on it as well. You can buy a brand-new black grille on Ebay for like only $100.

It's been a while since I've updated this post, so here are some pictures.

My Pathfinder next to a 2013, not much of a resemblance, eh? I blacked out my center emblem after putting on the chrome grille. You can just barely see it in the picture.

Image

I also added new shock absorbers today, not only were the other ones old and worn out, they were also blue which made them not match anything.

Image

They are KYB Gas-Adjust shock absorbers, my ride rides so much smoother with them on. Here is another picture from the other side of my vehicle, sorry about the poor quality of this one. I wish I had taken these pictures when it was on the lift.

Image

I sometimes get to bring my car in the shop after work which is awesome, some jobs are just so difficult without a lift.

I ordered an HID kit the other day and LED license plate lights. They are very inexpensive, and my god do they make your ride look better! I need to do my interior lights next, but until then here are some pics.

The HID brand that I used.

One of the LED's that I used to replace my old incandescent license plate light-bulbs.

I know some of the pictures are not of the best quality, my apologizes for that.

Anyways that's all for now, I hope to have some more updates soon, and any feedback would be appreciated.

Today which is May/13/2013 marks the second year of me having my Pathfinder. I bought it on May/13/2011 which was Friday the 13th by the way. However, I've had no bad luck with this vehicle, and I have no regrets buying it. It has never let me down, and hopefully it will continue to run well for the next I don't know how many years.

To commemorate this occasion I shall post a few pictures. I will post higher quality pictures soon, but for now all I have are low quality ones. My apologizes, of course.

Here are some pictures of it not long after I bought it. It is pretty much stock in these pictures, and only preventative maintenance has been done to it. These pics were taken after a full detail, it looks so good all cleaned up.

Thanks! I get alot of compliments about the cleanliness of my vehicle, even from people who don't own a Pathfinder. The clear bumper lights are about $20 on Ebay and the clear side beams are about $30. Painting your ride another color is an interesting idea. Mine has been painted a brighter shade of red, it looks so much better than the stock red it used to be.

It has been a few days since I have given you all an update, and I have done a few minor things since then. They may be minor, but they do significantly improve the appearance of my vehicle.

First off I went and changed my fog light bulbs to LEDs, blue LEDs I must add. They look great and will match perfectly with my HID lights, which I am converting to Bi-Xenon. My old HID kit only had a low beam and no high beam, I can't have that so I'm getting Bi-Xenons instead. They should be here in a day, anyways here are the fog lights.

The caps that go over the screws on my front plate fell off. This irritates me greatly, however I'll take care of this soon enough.

Image

My second mod is to my third brake light, it is simply a decal that overlaps my third brake light lens. It is a very simple mod, but it really makes my ride look better.

All you need to do this mod is a Phillips head or Flat head screwdriver, and a 10MM socket also a ratchet to go with that socket, of course.

First you unscrew the screws that hold the brake light cover over the third brake light. Then you remove the panel that is underneath it, you can gently pry it out.

Image

Here are the pieces that I mentioned above.

Image

Next you remove the bulbs, which is really simple.

Image

Here is the decal that is going over your third brake light, it will need to be trimmed a little bit if you want it to look neat. On a second note, I know my fingernails are long I will clip them after I'm done with this post.

Image

The third brake light, be sure that you are not putting the decal on upside down cause that would suck.

Image

The finished product, it looks great and since the light is blacked out a bit it matches with my rear window tint very well.

Image

My final mod involves my interior dome lights, they have been converted to white LEDs. My map lights are next. Anyways here are a few pictures.

Future mods I have in mind are a new front bumper, I plan on getting a chrome one it will go great with my grille. An interior kit, I'm thinking carbon fiber or aluminum, a one or two din touch-screen headunit and of course rims. There will be other smaller mods along the way, alot of them will be mechanical.

The third brake light looks nice! Cool mod.

Looks like you used the 4-LED festoon bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs. I'm happy with mine, they're not so bright that they attract too much attention but are brighter enough over incandescent bulbs that they are a nice upgrade.

I'm glad you like the third brake light mod, I only spent $9 on the decal and $3 for shipping. It is so inexpensive but it drastically changes the appearance of the vehicle.

The LEDs I bought are from a different seller, but they are probably the same as the ones you have. By they way, I used you LED post to figure out what bulbs I needed. Anyways thanks for the feedback!

I finally got my running boards, after looking online and going to junkyards I've finally got them. I would have never thought I would get them off of a Pathfinder that was traded in at my job. When you work at a luxury car dealership you don't expect to see a 15 years old Pathfinder as a trade-in.

Here is a picture of my Pathfinder next to the donor, in this picture the passenger side running boards have been removed from the donor.

Image

Cleaning one of the running boards, I love how there is no rust on either of them.

Image

At home after the install.

Image

I plan to install some LED strips underneath soon, they will look cool at night.

I have finally replaced my old black front bumper with a new chrome one. I really am a huge fan of chrome, I really like how clean it looks and I love the shine. After many hours of hard work I can look at my ride and be proud of how it looks at the moment. Anyways here are some pictures.

I started the job off in my driveway, and didn't actually finish it there.

Image

The bumper was on though, so I was able to take my ride to work. It is interesting to see my ride a Nissan surrounded by Mercedes Benz vehicles. It certainly is out of place.

Image

Here is my ride in the shop after I finally finished the job. Working on cars is so much easier with a lift, thank god for lifts!

Image

Now I need to move on to the rear bumper.

It's been a long time since I have updated this post, but it's also been a long time since I've really added any mods to my ride. Anyways here are some updates.

I wanted to add chrome ends to my rear bumper because I was tired of the old black ones. Also my front is chrome, so the back should be chrome as well. Adding the chrome ends wasn't hard at all, I did it in my driveway, and it took no time at all.

Here is a picture of my ride with the bumper off, there sure is alot of dirt back there.

Image

A side view of my ride with the rear bumper off.

Here are some higher quality pictures of my ride after I installed the chrome pieces, and after I detailed it.

Image

Oh, and I couldn't forget to add a few shots with the HID lights on.

Image

Image

That's all I have for you all for now, next post I should have another rear tire cover. My other one, which I had for two years started to tear, and it looked really bad. I also have more stickers on the way, oh how I love stickers!

It has been a few months since I have posted an update, so here is what is going on.

Yesterday and went and bought another Pathfinder. My original 97 was so reliable and I loved it so much, I decided to get another. My new Pathfinder is an 03 LE model. It has a bunch of options that my old one didn't have. Like the amazing 3.5 engine, it is such an increase in power! It also has leather seats, rear entertainment and much more. So I now currently own two Pathfinders, and I love them both. I have many plans for my 03, anyways here are some pictures of the two of them.

Image

Sorry that both of my vehicles are incredibly dirty, this is the reason why.

The clearcoat on the hood of the 2003 Pathfinder is peeling a bit, I'm gonna get someone to fix that for me next week.
