I'm sure most of you know, but after crashing my WRX I picked up a solid project 240 to fix up. I just finished with it today and wanted to share some pics. For starters, heres some before:

It wasn't in need of too much though. I did a 5 speed swap, fixed some minor problems, had the car repainted, and did some simple bolt-ons to make this car a clean, fun to drive daily ride. Heres how she looks now:

Very nice!

I like that you didn't go overboard. Very nice and simple. I approve.

Oh you're never finished...you'll want boost, then yo'll want wider tires to hook up with the new power, then you might as well get new wheels for the new tires, then you'll want to go lower so it looks cool, then...

Haha looks good though! I'm diggin' the white valve cover, I'm thinking about doing something with mine. I approve!

Thank you sir, and that "doll" you speak of is a piece of my wrx's smashed tail light lol. Don't hate!

LOL I know i'm not done. I'll buy little stuff here and there but my intentions really aren't to boost it. I doubt i would lower it anymore either, I like the stance. But other things for sure!

Thanks guys!

Nice, looks great! Watch out for the police in regards to the exhaust, though. Aftermarket exhaust systems are illegal in FL...found out the hard way.

Looks good, but if you don't mind my asking, what do you have going on where the cigarette lighter should be? it looks like a directional pad for adjusting the stereo, but doesn't make any sense with where it's placed. Is that an anti theft device or am I just seeing things wrong?

I think it's the angle of the picture coupled with the camera's flash. You're looking directly into the outlet, only the very end was captured by the camera's flash.

Looks nice. I also like the stance.

In regards to the comment about aftermarket exhausts illegal in Florida: where in Florida are you talking about? I know in Miami, the cops could care less about what you do to your exhausts. People may have been, but i've never heard anyone i know say they've been pulled over for aftermarket exhaust.

Thanks, and seriously i've always had exhaust systems and never had any problems, nor heard of anyone getting pulled for them around here...

Appreciate it everyone! :mike

Apparently the whole state. Got a warning on campus the first time and I ignored it; thought he was just giving me s***. Then I got pulled over by a state trooper and was fined for it and got an order for removal.

Here:

316.272Statutes & Constitution :View Statutes : Online Sunshine Exhaust systems, prevention of noise.--

(5) NOISE ABATEMENT EQUIPMENT MODIFICATIONS.--

(a) No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle or any other noise-abatement device of a motor vehicle operated or to be operated upon the highways of this state in such a manner that the noise emitted by the motor vehicle is above that emitted by the vehicle as originally manufactured.

(b) No person shall operate a motor vehicle upon the highways of the state with an exhaust system or noise-abatement device so modified.

Odd, never heard of that before. I guess the law is there, but not so well enforced, at least here in my area...

Good looking S14 you have there. Nice to see another Florida NicoClub Member here. Yeah, over here on this side of Florida cops are pulling you over just for having your windows tinted too dark or aftermarket exhaust. :tisk: Mostly the cops are pulling over ricer Hondas with loud exhaust and dark tint.
