hopefully the pictures show!

123,838 on chassis. the previos owner over rev'd the engine and broke some rockers and now cylinders 1 and 4 have low compression, like 60ish. im currently making a deal with another forum member about buying a notch top head off him complete nothing wrong with it, so hopefully the deal goes through and theres half the parts i need. hopefully the pistons are ok!!!

badbob, 2k only!! and i dont completly agree infiniti_lineup. yes theres definetly some work to do, but as far as already having the engine installed, and ran great for 5k miles i have alot less then if i did the swap from the start, and alot less money too!!! gotta look at the brite side!!

so far 2k for car, 200.00 for comlete head being shipped to me tomorrow from florida

i can say i have a decent idea on how to start, but when we tear the head off ya never know what we going to find! step one is getting the engine mechanically running good weather thats before snow is on ground or this coming spring.

feelgood you should use that big search button on the right or just go to the rwd sr forum and go to the sticky that tells everything about them

so went outside and gave my car a quick once over to see anything aftermarket that was done, no name fmic with 2 1/2 piping, turbosx bov on hotpipe, and custom exhaust from turbo down. what i mean by custom is its 2.5ish inch piping with no muffler, cat, or resionator all the way to a 2.75" tip, good welds though ill have to admit. in cab is boost gauge and air/fuel ratio. cant quite get under car to see how he has the ratio wired in..

stock suspension and steelies with hub caps. the sr does have a/c though which i thought was funny. electric fan wired thru a aftermarket relay. looks like ka radiator.

so i ordered a perfect head off our forum's classifieds, paid 200 and its shipped and should be at my house this week. also did a side tree job so i got some extra jingle in my pocket off to the side so i can buy arp head studs, cometic head gasket and rocker stoppers. i think im going to get the thermalnator mani gasket also. since i dont believe they did anything to the engine before swapping it in does any vets recomend anything to replace that involves only taking off the head??

If i were you wouldn't use a cometic HG. My self any many other members have had issues with quality and have had to replace them after a few thousand miles. I ended up going with a Cosworth HG and havent looked back since.
