It just does it over and over TANGTANGTANGTANG. until i just coast. it kinda sounds like when you were a kid and you put a baseball card in the spokes of your bike wheel, except this aint' no huffy, this is my baby. I've checked U joints, all four in the back, where it sounds like its coming from. they have a little give, but nothing too serious. I'm just stumped. If you have any idea, let me know. Also, my stinkin' wipers wont work. I've eliminated the motor as the problem, so it's in the switch. how should i go about taking it apart, or cleaning it or what should i do?
Thanks Guys,

TANG!
-I would check the torque on the wheel lugs first.
-Jacking one wheel off the ground and driving that one wheel might help you isolate the noise to a particular side. Brake drum, Bearing...
-Hopefully it is not something related to the clutch as it appears from your troubleshooting, it disappears when "coasting" (clutch pedal depressed).
-A good thing to also remember that everything shifts position under loads. Stuff like rubber engine/trany/diff mounts may appear to be holding but are not. Use a pry-bar to check these out.
-Speedo cable???
Wipers
-Stalk switches are very expensive for new. I purchased a rebuilt switch from Patric, e-mail
[email protected] He will be able to rebuild for you. Ask him for a quote. Or you can try and do it yourself. They are pretty archaic in design. I would say "go for it" if you are good with that type of thing. The wipers are not working anyway...what have you got to loose???
And the car looks great! Nice job.
