I really wanted to paint the calipers, but figured it would take to long and might not look great. Need to find replacement brembo decals. Ordered some off ebay, but they are too small, need to find the right size ones.

Great thing this morning was the brake squeal and noise from rotors are gone now.

Just need to find a place to scrap the old rotors now.

I want some pretty brakes. Mine are UGLY!! :tisk:

Really don't want to invest a lot of $$$ on my Z. I'm sure I will trade it in a couple of years. I don't keep cars long. (Except my Camaro....I think he is a lifetime project ;) )

I tend to keep cars I like. My Versa was the only one I didn't have more than 2 years. I'm at 3 years on the G35, 6 years, and 8 years on my current 240sx's.

I trade about every 3 years. I used to trade every year, but cars got too expensive and depreciate too much. I need to learn to start doing all the mods I want to do when the car is new so I can enjoy them for the total life of the car. I really want another Z next. I'm going to pay this one off and my next one is going to be loaded to the max! Z-Bo is the very basic base model. Still a lot of fun.

My friend asked me the other day what those 3 fake buttons were on my console. I told her my heated seat switch....if I had the heated seats! :chuckle:

I just need someone to take M seats and put in my G with A/C seats, wow those things are great.

Mine don't get too hot because they are cloth. Like I said, he is VERY base. :squint:

I just ordered me a super radar detector bracket because my velcro kept melting off of my windshield. I'm anxious to see how it will hold. Dang old southern summers!

My black leather sucks in July/Aug. Especially the last year or so where I don't have a parking deck at work.

My S2000 was the worst. Black leather seats, top down and metal gearshift knob! OUCH! Branded many an "H" pattern into my hand.

I can't do an auto tranny. Too boring. Nothing to play with. I think that is why I got tired of my G so fast.

That's the reason for other cars. And the manual mode on the G when needed.

A fun last couple days... /sarcasm.

Yesterday on the way to work I move to the middle of the road to miss inmates picking up trash on both sides of the road. Hit something that I never saw just heard it go under both wheels and up in the rear wheel well. No issues though.

Go to lunch, 50 yards down the road notice pulling to left. Front left tire is completely flat. Take it off, remember that base model spare won't fit over Brembos. Get coworkers car and take to discount tire for patch. See that the 50 yards driving on it was enough to split the sidewall, its toast.

Can't find the 235/35/19 that I have on the front. New I needed new tires within 2-3 more months and knew I was going up in size in front and rear. So after getting back and calling around, discount tire was cheapest ($100 mail-in rebate on 4 tires, starts Thursday but they said they give it to me). Ordered yesterday they said they would be there today.

Got a ride home, left car in work parking lot overnight (not the best place in town). Drove S13 Vert to work today.

Call at 2pm, they didn't get the order in time. Tires won't be here until Wed morning. Another night in parking lot for the G35.

Hopefully, I'll have pics of the new tire tomorrow by lunch time. Just have to find a ride back to work to get the car. Also hopefully picking up a Brembo sized spare tire this evening from CL.

Went with Nitto NeoGen ZR. 245 and 275 35/19. Previously was 235/35 and 265/30. So hope to add a little more comfort. And the Nitto are non-directional, so can rotate side to side with 280 tread rating. Around $850 after rebate, installed for set of 4.

Trying to figure out if I want to hold on to my old rears, as there is some life left in them.

Well the car survived in the parking lot again last night. Hopefully the tires will be here sometime this morning.

Got the 17" spare wheel/tire last night, so can put it on today.

To add to it, I'm parked with the front end just under the edge of tree. Birds need to be shot.

One may have been eating men, I'm pretty sure its a teradactyl.

Tires, finally here, off to go put the new 17" spare on and drive to tire place. And wait, and wait...

New tires, more meat, seems a little more comfortable ride.

Previously 235/35 and 265/30

Now:
Nitto NeoGen 245/275 35/ZR19
These are non-directional, so at least can be roatated side-to-side.
