So a joint failed on my exhaust, just past the connection between the pipe and rear muffler, and now I need a new muffler, as it is apparently too corroded to weld. According to my local Midas Nissan wants over $500 for the muffler itself, so I was poking around on the internet to see if I could get a better price. I noticed that there are different part numbers listed for the Sedan and the Hatchback, with about a $60 price difference between the two. Just wondering if anyone knew if these mufflers were actually different or not, as the parts catalog diagrams are identical. Here are the part numbers I found:

20100-SC11X004 MUFFLER ASSY-EXHAUST MAIN (This is the sedan part number.)

20100-C11X001 MUFFLER ASSY-EXHAUST MAIN (This is the hatchback part number.)

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

the muffler tip on the sedan is ~6" longer. Everything up to that point is the same.
