Although I have XM radio and iPod connectivity, I have the 6 disc player filled with Mp3 discs. Reason for that is because the sound quality through the CD player seems to be better and louder than when it comes from the iPod/iPhone.jmichael97 wrote:hey anyone know more about the mp3 disc capability? can you select what files to play? are the names of the songs displayed? just general info
Thats sort of the same thing. If you burn MP3's onto the disc, its the same as data. This way (depending on the quality of the mp3's), you could probably fit around 100 songs on a disc.Larz wrote:Thanks for the tip TXT ! I've been burning them from my comp as "MP3" and the only info in the CD display is disc# and Trac#.
I will burn them as 'data' from now on.
so the cd player literally shows the diferent albums on screen and you can select? or they just play in whatever order burned? Thanks alot for the info!TXT wrote:Although I have XM radio and iPod connectivity, I have the 6 disc player filled with Mp3 discs. When you have a bunch of MP3's, burn them on a disc as a "data disc" with your .mp3 files. Yes, it will show the name of the files and folders you put yours in.
I have a Gregory Isaac Discography Mp3 disc in their with different folders for each of his albums. select the folder for album you want, then the songs in that folder are displayed. Easy stuff. Windows my have a built in function to burn Data discs.
As long as you separate the files in folders, you can play only the songs in that certain folder. The album art will not be shown.jmichael97 wrote:so the cd player literally shows the diferent albums on screen and you can select? or they just play in whatever order burned? Thanks alot for the info!
