Saw a V today with moon roof while in for a service. I only got the showroom tour. Anybody got one? Nice to operate - not too much wind noise? When I sat in it didn't appear to steal any headroom. I just noticed the dome light was moved back a bit. I noticed to qualify for the roof you have to fully load avec tech & sport pkg.

Also I like the new light silver blue colour - forget what they call it - Arctic ice or something. Checking the brochure you can't get a beige interior with it -shame-.

Mileage was still rated 38/45 - BS.

Unlike Sept.06 when I got mine the dealer had 20ish V on the lot. No sign of the 1.6.

I've got the moon roof in my '09 with the Sport and Tech packages. It runs smooth, no issues, and no noticable wind noise.

It's the whole reason I went with the sport/tech.

I have an 08 Versa, and I wanted the sun roof so I have the sport and technology package.I love the sun roof! What i love is the fact that the glass retracts into the roof so it doesn't stick out of the car. It looks great, and I have never had any problems. I love my Versa!

Yeah baby! I'm so jealous - mine's the same colour. Your wheels look nicer too. Back when I got mine no sport pkg and no moonroof available. They were so short on inventory you pretty much had to take what you got. Nowdays I see loads of Versa parked on the dealer lots.

Yeah, we're very happy we went with the sunroof. When we were shopping (May 2007) my wife's main 'wants' were a sunroof and CVT - my primary concern was ABS. The only Versa on the local lot so equipped happened to be loaded with the Sport package, so we snatched it up.

I'm really impressed with the one-touch open & close feature of the sunroof (beats my Mazda and former G20 method of holding the button down for the entirety of opening/closing). Another nice touch is that it'll continue to close even after you turn the ignition off. As far as I can tell there's no appreciable detriment to headroom - it's a pretty tall cabin to begin with.

Yes, I love my moonroof. I ordered my Versa with the features I wanted and they had it shipped in from another dealership. I basically got every single feature available on the Versa at the time.

In the second picture those are my winter tires and rims. I didn't want to ruin my Versa's tires and rims, especially since it's brand new. Plus I wanted winter tires, and it's a good thing, we have had horrible winter weather recently.

P.S. Good choice on the colour! I love the red!

Just finished reading this thread about the sun roof, an essential for me.

But what I'd like to know is how others who have one have found the paint finish in and around the opening when the roof is fully open.

My '09 purchased in September is terribly finished in this area. Paint sags and runs everywhere with sharp and rough paint edges under the rear roof opening.

This might have been 'ok' in 1970 but certainly not in 2009!

Hey, I see your from Ontario as well.

Mine is perfect around the edges. Looks perfect when it is opened and closed.

I have only had one issue so far. When Vaughn was hit with tornadoes this past summer my sunroof started to leak a bit inside due to the heavy rain. I took it in and they readjusted the sunroof (under warranty) and it has been fine since.

I use my sunroof all the time. Winter and summer. Love having fresh air and the sun beaming down on me :D

Hi, I also got the moonroof. Silent, no leak so far. Thats one of the reason I buy that car.

LOL! Yes I had to have a sunroof ... It is silent when open or closed, and since mine was fixed, no leaking :D

I got mine in Sept '06 and they had two with moon roofs on the lot. I wish I had gotten it, but I couldn't afford it at the time.

Got ours in July '07 and it's been great. Operationally and asthetically.

Open, the noise is the same as having an open side window when on the highway but it does not create the windy interior you get when the side windows are open.

We use the tilt feature all the time when on city streets just so we can hear emergency vehicles approaching. We can hear the sirens easier and it's quieter instead of opening a side window. We just run the vent fan on setting 1 or 2 for air flow.
