so the blower motor finally went out after running on high for the few years i had it as a 2nd owner...

Image

easy to get to once you strip most of the plastic fascia and glovebox off...

Image

need to remove this support / knee bar just to have some clearance under the HVAC airbox.

Image

you also have to have a tiny offset wrench or a 1/4" drive socket/ratchet set to access the 3rd screw to the heater blower motor to drop the unit out...

Image
:wtf2: maple seeds on the screen :wtf2: and this was 1/2 cleaned out... guessing that there was no cabin air filter

followed the following vid & noticed that the cabin air filter mount wasn't installed from the factory!

Image

i'm guessing the screen is styrofoam-glued there to keep the critters out of the cabin area

Image

cleaned it out as much as i can before mounting the new blower motor...

Image

empty void with the mounting screw holes noted for future reference when i reply to nissan usa...

Image

cabin air filter wedged into the void until nissan usa gets back to me about a replacement mount :dblthumb:

Image

I emailed nissan usa to see if they're going to give me the plastic box & 3 mounting bolts that i've highlighted on this thread...

well well... so this cabin filter mount is only if the original buyer has added an optional "comfort package"

i'll have to dig up a brochure to see if they're standard in the SE and GLE models to go get this base model GXE up to snuff...

i'm leaving the filter there to help prevent the nasty clog-up & burn out the new blower motor

Hello

I found this, i think it is filter with plastic box:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Genuine-Ca ... 2101373706

And i think it should be isolated around too.

Good luck and fresh air in your cabin :D
