Hello everyone,

I am relatively new on this forum, but been around cars long time (used car dealer) :) And especially Infiniti.. :)

Was looking up on the forum but couldn't find anything related..

Did anyone had or tried to install MiraBox in your car? Successfully or unsuccessfully..

Thanks in advance..

Welcome to the forum!

've been around these forums for years and I haven't heard of anyone using that product...so I'm going to assume you'll be the first :).

Ok then, :)

MiraBox (MiraCast, MirrorBox) this thing has many names :)

Basically it allows you to mirror the screen of your smartphone on your stock navigation screen via Wi-Fi.

The main purpose why I want this is the I can use Waze on my navigation screen instead of using it on my phone.

The unit itself is not expensive - about $50-70 dollars depending on the brand.

But I can't figure out how to connect it to the screen since Infiniti head unit doesn't have RCA type of video input on the back of it.

Right. I Googled it when I saw your post and would use it for the same thing (Waze). As for the connection...yeah it'll be tough but it's worth investigating the service manual (see how to link in my signature) to see if there is another way to splice in.

There is company in Russia who does it. So there is way to do it.

I apologize to other users for the video being in different language

Seems that I cannot properly post a video from youtube. Ilya if possible fix it please.

Welcome to the forum hagani.
Cool product, it would be nice to be able to cast my screen to the car.

*Regarding the youtube issue; no worries. At some point I noticed that if I tried to post a video through the youtube app's share link, it would just paste like a link.
However, if I was on a desktop computer or opened the video in a tab on my phone and converted the page to desktop mode, I can copy the Web address and get it to work correctly.

Thank you!

The same company btw has another upgrade which I would love to have - module activating outside mirrors folding function once you lock your car

He doesn't say much in the video (I'm a Ukrainian so I understand Russian fluently). Just that it's mirroring, even in vertical and that there is no lag, etc.

I'd LOVE this on my car.

:) Well, then all we have to do now is to find the way somehow to connect this unit

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-Phone-Dong ... 1438.l2649

or similar to the back of our navigation units

There is a company in Brooklyn NY called NAVIKS they sell interfaces for different makes and models including Infiniti but I don't feel like I want to spend $500+ on this project :-)
In addition their system is not perfect since the audio signal should be connected separately

This would be an great feature as stated earlier and would enhance the overall interior appearance of our rides as well but 500.00 + with audio sold separately is a little steep to me as well.

Man we need this. I've been talking about this before on the forum. That would open the door to so many possibilities with our Y51's.
