no jokes, no BS.. this is a sad day... can't believe the King of POP is dead... seems surreal... especially when he was on the verge of his big comeback...

It is a very Traggic loss and TODAY the world has LOST A LEGEND. Like Rob stated it does sound surreal and the KING was on the verge of a HUGE comeback for his career. MJ didn't even get to start his world wide tour over seas. I was at home when my sister called me from SD and told me if I had heard about him passing away. I didn't believe it. I started watching the News and when his body was tranported I was looking out my second story window and saw the sheriff heli that was transporting his body. Very very sad day for the world. The music industry was truely inspired by MJ. Many singers and celebs have quoted that "They would not be what they are today if it wasn't for the KING of POP MJ." My prayers go out to MJ and the whole Jackson family. RIP MJ

the sad thing is after his death every one was honoring him and upset including myself. If we had done that while he was alive maybe he wouldn't be sooo stressed out. I hate that we honor people after they pass and not while they are still living. RIP

I actually made a 4 hour trip to San Antonio from where I am and in the cd that I burned for my trip it included MJ music. I had no idea he had passed away until about halfway in my trip. Its scary since it was the first cd with his music I had made. RIP

I was really shock to hear that bad new from my uncle. It just happened so fast and suddenly. He is one of my favorite singers.

I used to love his music when I was a little kid. I still listen to it every now and again, Still love to watch the Thriller video.

Not to put a bad vibe in here but I hate how when something like this happens all of a sudden everybody loves him and was a huge fan. I know this isn't true the media craved on bashing him time and time again. I for one can honestly say that I never jumped on the MJ Bashing bandwagon.

He has done wonderful things in music and people will forget all the gossip and rumors started about him and just take his legacy for what it was

i remember when i used to dj, i used to play his musci a lot, and people would always dance to that the most out of all the songs i have ever played, i have grew up watching him and it was a lot of fun to see how skillful he was at dancing, singing, all that stuff. he is definitely someone i will remember for the rest of my life because he made music what it was today in my opinion!!

this is so true... we (as a whole) spent the last decade bashing Michael, placing so much stress in his life.... the guy's been doing nothing but try to make good music and try to heal the world since he was 6 years old... and we repayed him with nothing but lies, scandal, controversy, lawsuits, jokes, ridicule, and slander...

honestly, maybe we just didn't deserve Michael... people can be so cruel sometimes... i'm glad i wasn't born a star, nor do I ever want to become one!

^^^^ Im not sure about all that. I dont know the facts of what occurred but he brought some of that on his own. He cannot be totally innocent. I agree that he was a great man and changed the world for the better.

I hope you guys appreciate this. Here is a link to many of MJ songs that were sampled and used in other songs - it also shows you what songs were used by MJ as well -enjoy.

I'm an old head so I believe you cant really judge the music of today if you dont know the old music that records are often based on or use elements of. I love to discover "new" old music - the original songs made years ago and are still sampled to this day.

I was never a fan of MJ's music. I was never a fan of his lifestyle. I have serious concerns about some of the things attributed to him.

But... the man is dead. I never wish that even on an enemy.

He DID change music, he DID change style. I acknowledge that he altered society in a way few have, and he will be sorely missed by many.

RIP, Michael!

i think michael was the only person to stand in front of a crowd for ten minutes without saying anything and have the crowd go crazy. then put on a glove and make them go even crazier. only a king can do that. RIP
