I am a very happy owner of a 2007 M35 Sport. Both fog light lenses have been cracked and need to be replaced. The lamps are fine, just the lense/coverings. The dealer quoted me $400.00 replaceent for one. I laughed all the way to my car. I have Invisible Shield on front end of vehicle which also covers headlamps and fog lamps. I believe this has something to do with the lenses remaining in place while they are visibly shattered. 40,000 miles on car with 80% highway driving in northern CA. Any suggestions????

Go to Infinitipartsusa.com The lamp is a sealed assembly, you can't just replace the lense unfortunately.

Here's a tip: The '06 M35 uses the same exact foglight assembly as the '07-'08 Nissan Sentra. You can buy them for as low as $74 including shipping from: http://www.autolightsbulbs.com....aspx

They are not OEM, but they are DOT & SAE certified. Beats paying $210 from your Inifiniti dealer.

Em35, I have a '06 M35 and need to replace the entire casing as the glass is broken. When you say you replaced it with the 07 Sentra fog casing, did you go to the Nissan dealership and purchased the casing and just replaced it yourself? Also, if you did, was it diffcult? Did you just remove the black plastic mesh grill and from there it was easy to get too? Having to replace mine and before I get too involved, just wanted to get some feedback. Thanks!

Sorry for such a huge delay in responding...

I simply went to an online parts house...I think it was "parts train" and purchased the left and right for the Sentra...the entire housing, lens and bulb...something like $80 each. I was having some body work done on the front bumper so for about $30 the guys popped them in for me...so...I can't say how difficult the swap was but they look great. With these being the "cheaper" (plastic) version...there will not be any "glass" breaking this time. I'm not sure how to post images on here but will be glad to try if you would be interested in seeing the finished install.

Wanted to share that one of my fog light lenses cracked a while back. Replaced it at the dealership for like $325. Dealer than called me on my drive home and suggested that I check my insurance and see if I have 'full glass coverage" - he indicated that many policies cover all front glass and headlights. Needless to say, one phone call later and my insurance company sent me a check for $325. Nice...

Thanks for the Sentra tip. I bought a Sentra housing on eBay for $35 dollars and put her right in. Worked great.

How do these match up? I only need to replace the passenger one - would they be an obvious mismatch? or should I swap the good one out too...

Worst case scenario, buy one and if you aren't happy with the fit and finish as compared to stock, buy another to even it out.

Hello All,
It's been a long time since I've visited. I still am in love with my '08 M35S. I have an issue i'm hoping someone can help me with. The passenger side Fog Lamp was shattered a fwe days ago when a piece of gravel, off a truck, hit it.

I have the replacement lamp assembly and now i'm trying to figure out how to actually replace it. I am hoping someone can provide some insight. I would hope I can pull the fog lamp grill covering off, as opposed to going in from behind the fairing. I did find some instructions on another site and it was for an 06-07 which stated that the fog lamp covering came off by disengaging the pawls and then sticking a rag around it and pulling pretty hard straight out.

Any help would be greatly appreaciated! My OCD will not let me drive this car until it's fixed!

Thanks in advance!

/R

figured it out after looking through the cryptic portion of the service manual relating to this. Thank the good lord for it being an S, if it was a regular M I think it involved taking the lining out of the wheel well. Since it was an S I just had to pop off the lower grille assembly. Took 10 minutes!

Thanks,
William

Does anybody have an answer for this ?

Also, the reason why they are so cheap is because they have a plastic lense and not a glass one... am I right ?

Hi friends.

I am in the same predicament as others above -- but did not get a clear answer from the thread...

So to re-cap: 2006 Infiniti M35 - Driver Side Fog Light is busted. I am reading in a lot of places that a cheaper Nissan Sentra fog light assembly {made of plastic?} is a decent cheaper replacement and will *fit perfectly* ? Is that true? When I look at online charts it goes so far to say that it will work for 2007 M35s - but not 2006. So I am hesitant to buy and then get stuck with this.

Can anyone confirm if 26155-8990A is indeed the replacement alternative for an 06 M35??

If doing this, then i may as well get the passenger side also done at the same time so that both sides can match vs the original which may be off or dying after 9 years.

So then i would also buy the 26150-8990A [right side] at the same time.

Then head over to the Nissan dealer to have them installed for half the cost of the Infiniti dealer who wanted to charge me close to $500 for just this one side busted. I almost vomited in my own mouth.

Sincere responses are very very highly appreciated. Thank you so much everyone.

Welcome to the forum.

06 and 07 are identical cars. It'll be fine.

I just did a fog light replacement on my 06 m35 sport, used the cheapy ebay lenses, were like $35ish plastic and fit ok, not the best but cheap enough to replace a few times haha. The old plastic lenses were burnt on the inside so I'm expecting similar with these too.

hi rh4motorsports -

did you use 26155-8990A = part number?
and if so, how long did it take to install?
