I don't often use the paddles to shift but recently I did on my trip home from work. About 30 minutes. At home, I back up my driveway (about a 20% incline) into the garage. When I got home this day, I took it out of manual into reverse but when I tried to go up the incline, there was no power. At first I thought I left it in neutral. After changing between reverse and neutral a couple of times, I put it in drive and while it drove, it had almost no power to go. After a short time in drive, the power came back and I was eventually able to backup the driveway. Checked everything I could think of but didn't find any issue.
The next time the car was driven in manual was when I let my daughter drive the car in a parking lot. I put it on 1 and had her only use the brake. After she had driven for about 15 minutes, I had her pull into a parking space so she could try backing out of it. Had her put the car in reverse but the car wouldn't go, even though the RPMs were going up. Again, eventually, the power returned.
Took the car in to Nissan, but they could not find any issue. My plan is to schedule a time when I can drive the car in manual for about 15+ minutes, then call them to have a tech hop in the car with me to verify the issue.
Any thoughts on what might be going on?
Thanks!
