Have some trunk problems. First off, the latch on the drivers side is broken and will not pop the trunk. When I pull it, I can here noise of releasing in the hatch. Assuring me that the latch IS in fact connected. But the hatch will not pop up. So, I either need to wedge something in the latch, or hold it up while some one pulls the trunk open. Pain. In. The. a**. Also, when I pull the trunk from out side of the car it is very loose. Not tight and fastened to the car. When I hit pot holes it bobbles up and down. Very flimsy. And it's driving me NUTS. My Z originally came without a spoiler, and I added a 94+ style spoiler on. Could this maybe have something to do with my problem? Any suggestions would really save me A LOT of aggravation. Thanks guys.

Mine does it too. Has since I bought it.

Replacing the hatch struts didn't work, FWIW. I think the latch mechanism just needs adjustment, but I'm too lazy to do so. So I just walk around and wedge my remote in the hatch and pull the handle. I'll get around to it one day, but I'm not bent out of shape out of it. After 5 years of owning the car, I wonder if I ever will get bent out of shape about it, rofl.

Hahahahaha. I just hate hearing it bounce around when on driving on rough pavement. I hope it's not visible to the drivers behind me lol.

Latch just need adjusting. Remove the center panel in the trunk, unbolt the two bolts. Lower the latch and tighten the bolts. It's that easy. Took me less than 5 min.

If that doesn't work, how are the rubber bumpers on the hatch? If those are deteriorated, those would cause all kind of hell.

The only problem now is my sub isn't turning on. I used one of the bolts from the lastch to ground my amp. While the car was off it was sparking when I loosing the bolt to adjust the latch. Shorted something. The amp is ON, and all the connections are good. Along with the connection to the sub. Fuse on amp is obviously good, and the huge fuse I have bridged into battery under the hood is also good. Pretty stumped.
