Looking for a straight answer on shift knob

Postby nick425 » Thu Dec 10, 2009 3:06 pm

So I have looked through the hundreds it seems like threads about the versa shift knob crap. I want a new knob and was wondering if there was a "plug and play" knob that I just snap back onto the lever that is compatible with that god awful reverse lock ring. If not, where can I get a good knob and someone tell me how to install it... Thanks!

What you need to get is a tapered shift knob. One that tightens with tiny allen head screws rather than a screw on shift knob. I've got a red Sparco Racing one on mine. It was a little hard to remove the stock knob because you have to pull really hard to take it off and then use something to cut away the stock plastic thing that holds onto the metal shaft.
