Came across this while Stumbling. Is it wishful thinking? I mean could it be applied to the vehicle exterior, thereby eliminating buildup of dirt, mud, winter salt treatments... You get the idea.

I've found some awesome stuff with Stumble. http://www.stumbleupon.com/

StumbleUpon From Wikipedia: StumbleUpon is a discovery engine (a form of web search engine) that finds and recommends web content to its users. Its features allow users to discover and rate Web pages, photos, and videos that are personalized to their tastes and interests using peer-sourcing and social-networking principles.

At any rate, this website http://www.spillcontainment.com/everdry has an extensive description of the coatings capabilities.
Self-Cleaning - The Ultra-Ever Dry repels dirty water and thick oils, and remains clean and virtually bacteria-free. When dust, dirt or other molecules accumulate on a superhyrophobic coated surface, a light spray of water or a blast of air grabs the dust and removes it.

What is the working temperature range for Ultra-Ever Dry SE 7.6.110? - The working temperature range for the product is from -30°F to 300°F (-34°C to 149°C) once it has been applied. It has been effective at temperatures up to 500°F, but we would recommend further testing for any application that will see temperatures above 300°F (260°C).

Hmm, not familial with that product. info says it employs nanopolymer technology.

It's a local product here in TX and the guy's expanding. I will say it works awesome. As far as the plastidip goes, I tried talking the girl into letting me do her Rogue Matte Pink and she said no :P

lol.

Awesome video, amazing product (if it really works) but for $150 dollars or so it's a bit pricey. I treat my glass twice a year with some things, I would love to know how this stuff stands up to NY seasons annually.

OK, here's another find, which would bee a boon for winter months. New coating could make scraping ice from the glass a thing of the past.

Scientists in the U.S. have developed a coating to keep windscreens clear. Mornings spent scraping frost from windscreen could be thing of the past.

That's an awesome video. It worth money. I think this coating can also be utilized for corrosion protection.
