Hello guys i recently put a new turbo and do some little upgrades in the car and i notice that the KNOCK SENSOR, (below the intake mainfold), have the GREY (like "metalic") wire cut out...
i look for the rest of the wire, and i discover that the wiring comes to the ecu have 2 wires...1 GREY (metalic) and 1 (thin) WHITE wire.

So i have in the Sensor 1 GREY WIRE vs the wiring to the ecu 1 GREY WIRE and 1 WHITE WIRE .

I read a lot of this in the forum, about the 23 pin, the ecu and etc but i really doon't know anything about electronics, so do you have any pic or data how re-connect it ?
(explain me like i whas a litte boy, jeje)

How do affect conect or disconect this sensor to the car ?

Thanks in advance, Luchito

The grey wire is just for shielding electrical noise. There is only 1 wire @ the sensor plug, and then the grey part will start when the wire enters the harness.

The white wire should be the actual signal wire. A pic would be great.

Pull the codes from the ECU. There is a link to the FSM in the stickies and in there it will tell you how to check the codes.

Ok guys, i have some issues with other things of the car but i continue with Knock Sensor...
I connect the wires of the Knock Sensor but the ecu diagnosis said the same code again, and the car, runs bad 5 times and 1 good,
and the manifolf gets too hot (red hot) when i pull the power under boost (set at 10-12 lbs), and the wideband shows runs too
rich,11.3 or 10.7 at full throtle so i imagine that the ecu retards the timing and because the Knock Sensor its not running ok.

So the question is how i can cheat the ecu to test the car without it ?

(i read in this forum that the Knock sensor of Nissan Maxima its the same of the ca ?)
I asking because if all the problem is this i replace it for that sensor more economic

Please any info is helpful for me, Thank you !
