Can someone tell me where I can get the king pin bearings, just got the price from Nissan they want around $200can for just one upper and lower bearing- no seals or anything.

That price seems pretty dam high to me, it would be around 500 just to do both sides. F.u Nissan.

So if anyone knows of maybe some U.S company I can get them from with all new seals for maybe less it would be much appreciated!

Looking at the fsm they look like just large ball bearings, so your best bet is to remove the seals and bearings and measure them. Many high quality US bearing company should have something.

If it was me I would get used ones as they arent common failure/wear items. I have a higher mileage car than you and no slop or noise, and the roads around here are terrible. They've worn out every other suspension/steering component.

I have two q45s so I am just getting ready to switch them until I can find a proper replacement.

The car took one hell of a unmarked sink hole in pavement the other day, was about 6ft long and 1ft deep, hit that s*** at over 60kph in the dark and right after that it was noisy and has some good movement, dam s*** a** roads around here. Really pissed me off.

Where are you seeing $500? Are you having the dealer do the labor? Because both top bearings and the kingpin are ~$90

At the Nissan dealership around here they want over $80 just for one lower bearing and 60 something for the upper one-
It would be more then likely well over $500 just to get the parts to do both sides.
Hell they wanted $500 just for the lower control arm when I was doing pricing because it had a bad ball joint.

You tell me where I can get them for $90 and I'm in lol

No I wasn't. The car got air and smashed into the other side, hit soo hard the front end then bounced up in the air, f*** then that caused the rear to move down and hit it, then it jumped in the air and the front smacked down once more. It was soo hard it snapped my exhaust hangers right off- really piss' s me off. The thing wasn't even marked or anything!

dude.. if the road caused that much damage and it was between the white lines, i would suggest you go and take pictures of the spot, QUICKLY, BEFORE it gets fixed and get an estimate from a licensed repair shop. Take both to the the city govt and file a claim to have them help compensate the damage. I know it might sound kinda silly, but in a case such as yours they should grant you the claim. I've seen and known people to do that, and done correctly, they don't have grounds to deny you. A local news report was done about that where i live, and the city payed the lady for the damage done to her vehicle.

If you are a citizen, and the car is legal, then there should be no issue. The DOT has a responsibility to keep the road safe, we pay taxes for that. It sounds like it could've even caused a terrible accident had someone been in front, beside or behind you.

Our s*** city has a thing where they have 7days to fix a road problem from the time they know about it. It was actually on the news here about a month ago how some lady hit a pothole and damaged her car. The city more or less said too bad soo sad as they didn't know about it. Me and the girl took a drive by it yesterday and it's still huge, you can see huge grooves in the pavement on the other side from other people hitting it and bottoming out. This city sucks-

Well, here is your chance to hold them accountable. You could talk to a lawyer and possibly have a class action suit against the city for negligence, etc. If other people have incurred vehicle damage, then you have strength in numbers. I would seriously consider it. They have 7 days to fix it? Does that mean if there was an accident or fatality due to an extremely unsafe public roadway, they would have immunity, simply by stating they "didn't know"?

If you feel like being active in your community, you could call the DOT, ask if they have a report of the particular road damage, (at this point they should.. you hit it like.. a week ago?) if they do not, then you could file a report, and follow up in 7 days. OR if they do, then you could ask when the report was filed and then ask how they will reimburse you for damages incurred.

I know it's not "fun", but as we all know, the govt (even local) isn't always on top of things that affect us daily, like dangerous roads. It's really up to us to keep the govt in check... can we really expect them to do it themselves? ha.. no.
I have a friend whose father worked for (retired from)the City of Durham (DOT or Public works idr) and it was known that the City would ignore the roads, pocketing the funds and spreading them across the 'bonuses' of the top tier employees, until the roads were so bad the State would come in and fix them. It's all a scam within the local gov, and it's 'legal' because they figured out the loophole in which to do it. Corruption is on every level of govt. It's up to us to address it.

Ohh I hear you, and yes the city council said on the news that they are not responsible unless they are past their 7days after being noticed- just b.s!
I'm planning on going taking pictures and then presenting my case and see what I get. Just have been to busy. But it has to be done so I will have to make time.
